It used to be in a bowling league and we bowed here. It's a very kid friendly environment. Would highly recommend.
I've been bowling here off and on since Forum opened. My only real complaint ..... it hasn't changed much at all since 1974. It's dark and dingy looking. It needs brightening up, especially over the lanes. Very few modernizations over the years. Now they HAVE recently repaved the parking lot and got new flat-screen monitors here for the scores.... but I really wish they'd brighten up the place. The scoring input panels have issues as some lanes will hardly respond to the touch. This place used to be a palace. It needs to be brought back to that status.
Said they open at 10. We get there and apparently all 50 something lanes were unavailable due to a league. That would have been nice to know before I drove over here. Nothing on their bland website. At least set aside a few lanes for people not participating in a league. If you have all 50 plus lanes taken for a league then your not technically "open" to the public at that time. Also very rude employees as well. Had an attitude with us. Like how dare we ask to bowl here.
Ripped shoes. Unfriendly customer service. I don't understand why Forum would place four people in our bowling space. We were lane 27, and they were placed on lane 28. This created extreme anxiety for me. Too close for comfort. There were four empty lanes two doors down. On their first bowling go around, they had lane issues. The pin machine dropped to the ground and did not move. A staff member assisted by pressing the reset button. But that was it. The device didn't move for a good five minutes or so. Once the machine worked and retrieved upward, the gate then dropped down, but it didn't move. The staff didn't help. The crowded space created (for me) an unbearable atmosphere while we (my crew) painfully watched their lane issues. There was a language barrier. Our neighbors asking for our help. It was no longer fun and I wanted to escape the bowling alley. I blame the staff for lack of judgement and poor customer service. We deserved better working shoes, our own space, and our neighbors deserved a working lane.
Always a great time bowling here. I used to go here as a kid and recently went again and still a lot of fun. I went to the bar for the first time and it was very chill. Had fun playing pool and and Jenga with friends!
