My now-husband and I were lucky enough to take wedding dance lessons with Yaroslav. He completely transformed us! We entered the studio as novices who struggled with a simple box step. On the night of our wedding, we never danced better and received tons of compliments on our first dance. Both Yaro and Daria are so warm, funny, knowledgable, and encouraging. They are amazing teachers who make the material feel achievable and fun. Dance lessons turned into one of our favorite dates and even taught us to communicate better as a couple. I would absolutely recommend this studio! We can't wait to return for more fun on the dance floor!
My husband and I took several dance lessons with Vlad at Fred Astaire Dance Studios (Short Pump, VA Location) in the couple of months leading up to our wedding. Vlad was kind, patient, courteous, and encouraging as he taught us a routine for our first dance as husband and wife. Vlad treated us with respect and conducted each lesson professionally and warmly. His teaching style helped us to recall each portion of the routine as we practiced during each lesson, and to ensure we were confident throughout the entirety of the first dance itself. In addition to teaching us our first dance, he also taught us a variety of dance moves that we could use during other songs played at our reception. We look back fondly on our lessons, and our first dance was both sentimental to us and also a resounding success when we performed it at our wedding reception. Thank you to Vlad and the Fred Astaire Dance Studio for making our wedding day so special!
It’s so big pleasure to dance at Fred Astaire Dance Studios - Richmond - SHORT PUMP location! Fantastic Pro Dance instructors Yaroslav and Vlad will help you to learn how to dance and enjoy each dance lesson. Very nice Pro female Instructors Daria and Nika always welcome and giving you feeling that each person is special! Wonderful atmosphere in the studio! Good hard floor for dancing and a lot of real lights. I would like to recommend this Dance Studio in Richmond to everyone who would like to start dance journey and to people who are already looking for advance great level Pro Dance instructors.
The best dance studio ever! The instructors are incredibly kind and great teachers. I have been dancing here for about 9 months and have improved at such a quick pace! Ontop of that the community here is so friendly and fun!!
Dancing has been a lifelong dream of mine, and for the past 1.5 years, I’ve been living that dream at this incredible dance studio. From the moment I walked in, I enjoyed warm, friendly, always positive atmosphere, the perfect place to learn and grow as a dancer. Not only have I been able to sharpen my skills, but I’ve also had the amazing opportunity to participate in dance competitions and truly shine! The instructors are exceptional — all of them are professional dancers who still compete at the highest levels. My main coach, Yaroslav, is a true master of his craft. He’s patient, knowledgeable, and has a real talent for guiding students to reach their full potential. I also love taking classes with other instructors, Yaroslav, Vlad, Daria , Nika, who each offer a unique perspective that helps me continue to improve. Fred Astaire Short Pump Studio has given me everything I need to pursue my passion for dance and feel like part of a supportive, growing community. I am very happy to be a part of it! I love my Studio! Highly recommend to anyone who dreams of dancing, likes trying new activities, enjoying music.
