I just got my car back today from Hall Body. Brian was my service advisor. My car was repaired faster than I had expected. I called once to check on the status of my vehicle, so I would know how long I needed a rental. Brian was very polite and thoroughly explained what needed to be done. The entire staff was wonderful! Everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional. I really appreciate their hard work and excellent customer service. I really feel like they went above and beyond. I am highly satisfied with my entire experience. The staff was wonderful, the communication was clear, and my car runs perfectly now.
The repair process is slow and the prices are excessive. My insurance company is refusing to extend my car rental for a third time. The cost of repairs for getting side-swiped is almost $10,000. Thank goodness for insurance. This place is awful.
I brought my vehicle here because the airbag light in the dash was on. They wanted to charge me almost $5k for repairs. About half of that estimate was for the airbag issue - the rest of it was for issues that "might" have caused me problems. Suffice to say, once the airbag problem was diagnosed, I took it to my local mechanic and he fixed the problem for less than $200.
Sadly, this body shop should not be certified by any manufacturer. I had my 2021 jeep hinges painted under jeep warranty. After 2 weeks in the shop the paint looked worse than when I brought it in! The shop delivered the jeep to me the first time with at least 9 pieces of dirt, a bug, and 2 paint tape lines easily visible in the "new paint". I rejected the jeep, and they fixed some defects and said it was done, 2 MORE TIMES It was rejected, before the jeep paint was dirt free. Any clean paint booth and good painter would make sure the paint was defect free before returning a vehicle 3 times to a customer! I give the 2 stars as they did complete the repair, and they have a lifetime warranty so if there paint application sucks at least they will have to do it again. I wish I took photos of the bug as it was right next to the passenger door handle, impossible to not see. Their service advisors were also pleasant to work with.
Apart from having to call all the time for updates because they weren't proactive in doing so, there were several issues. The first was that they kept telling me the insurance missed a bunch of the work but they looked at it in person and should've stated that to insurance and come up with a better plan. What was supposed to take a week, which they told me when I dropped my car off was still the case, it took over a month but apparently they knew the entire time it would need much more work and were not forthcoming with that information. Second, after going through two rentals, they finally offered me a loaner while I waited for my car to be fixed. I return the loaner with a bit more gas than they gave me and I get in my car which has NO gas. 0 miles. The closest gas station is through two major intersections. This is actually a huge safety hazard and I am appalled that they would return a car to anyone with no gas AFTER driving it to and from the dealership and around to test it. Third, they told me they cleaned the car. It was disgusting. There were streaks and marks all over the windshield and dirt/dust everywhere.
