We had such a wonderful time this weekend. We enjoyed Myth and Marble and tea time. For Tea we called and booked ahead as well as stated our allergies so they were accommodating. Tea was delicious 🥰. There were sculptures from 500BC. Obviously, these artifacts were restored many times so the team indicates on the placard, which parts of a sculpture was original and which parts were restored. Overall, it was a walk through history and it was a privilege to be able to see it. I’m glad I have access to these amazing works of art not too far from home. I brought my family and we went through the exhibit three times. Once to get an overview (audio guide highly recommended), a second time to reread and look at our favorite pieces, then a third for pictures. We will be back another day
Went for the Myth and Marble rotating exhibit. Also, walked around to see their permanent art collections. Overall, very nice and interesting. Lots of French artists but still some good variety. Preferred the sculptures and pottery over the paintings. Definitely a fun and quick thing to do on an outing. May not recommend bringing young children as the museum staff enforce “quiet and pleasant” atmosphere. Also, not allowed to get too close to each piece not all are roped off with preferred distance for viewing but there is quite a bit of staff stationed in each area. Myth and Marble exhibit was interesting but not as good as I was expecting. A lot of statues not in their original design or were renovated with modern materials to reflect the idea of what it would have looked like when first being made.
Very fun and cool, the children's place have lots of toys and books. The museum have plenty of collections which impressed me a lot! I love the Chinese collections and was amazed by the Maya art collection. Hope I will go there another day!
I love visiting! They have wonderful exhibits and their permanent collection is beautiful. Staff is always friendly and very helpful. I don't mind the srive from Dallas, a visit to the Kimball is always a good day.
The Kimbell Museum in Fort Worth made a strong impression on me. The atmosphere is cozy and peaceful, and it makes you want to stay longer and simply enjoy the art. I was especially amazed to see original works by Caravaggio, Michelangelo, and other great masters. It’s a rare chance to experience world-famous masterpieces in person. The exhibition is beautifully curated, everything is high-quality and thoughtfully arranged. This place truly inspires and leaves a pleasant aftertaste. Highly recommend it for a cultural escape
