We ended up eating here two days in a row, which already says a lot. Overall, most of the dishes were solid, and the service was consistently friendly and attentive. Here are some thoughts on the dishes we tried: Eggplant Salad 4.5/5 The seasoning was very well balanced, and the eggplant was soft, warm, and comforting. The only downside was the boiled egg: it was cold and didn’t absorb any flavor, which slightly took away from the dish. Still very good overall. A must try I would say. Crab Curry 4/5 A fragrant curry with a lighter texture. The flavor was pretty much what I expected from a good Thai crab curry — enjoyable and satisfying. Chicken Ravioli 4/5 The ravioli itself was just okay (it reminded me a bit of Chinese wontons in flavor), but the vegetables underneath were the highlight. They were surprisingly fresh and well-seasoned, and really elevated the whole dish. Pad Thai 2.5/5 This was disappointing for me. The sweet-and-sour sauce was very strong and lacking depth. It was served in a clump, the texture wasn’t great, and the chicken was quite dry. Unfortunately, this was the weakest dish we tried. Chicken Satay 3/5 While the dipping sauce had an interesting cumin note, and the sides and grilled bread were nice, but the chicken was dry and underwhelming. Moo Ping 4/5 Much better than the chicken satay. Nicely seasoned and enjoyable. Tom Yum Soup 4/5 Very good and comforting — flavorful, well-balanced. Mushroom Salad 4/5 Interesting and slightly unusual seasoning. The tofu and mushrooms had great texture, but it was very spicy for us. Recommended if you enjoy spicy food Overall, despite a few misses, we enjoyed the experience enough to return the next day. With good service and several standout dishes, it’s a place worth trying — just order selectively.
Went with my buddy to see what the hype is about. My buddy has been here before so he guided me on what to eat. Started off with the chive cakes and it was the best starters I had in awhile. The sauce complements the richness of the chive cakes. Between the 2 of us, we decide to get 3 main dish. Spaghetti kee mao, massaman curry, and the khao soi. Starting off with the spaghetti kee mao, there was only two options for meat: impossible meat and the sausage. We opted for the sausage and it was okay. The second dish that came out is the massaman curry. This was actually my favorite dish of the night. Had a lot of warm spices and the beef was very tender. Perfect for a cold night. The khao soi was the third dish and it was delicious. Probably the second best dish out of the main. It had a mix of crispy noodles on top and regular noodles on the bottom. In terms of the soup itself, it was on the thicker side. Looser than the curry but not thin like normal soup. Sticks to the noodles better. To round it all off, we got the green Thai tea which feels a bit lighter than the Thai tea version. I would definitely come back again and try different things. The boat noodles is on that list for sure.
Came here with my parents last Saturday for dinner. This place was amazing because we are from Los Angeles and the Thai food was just as good as back home. The things to get was the chive cakes, it was really unique. The glass noodle and prawn was delicious and a must get. Service was amazing from the entire staff, they were really busy too. We felt the staff was attentive and kept checking in on us. The ambiance had soft music playing in the background but you can still have a normal tone conversation. Parking: can be rough because it’s street parking.
Chive Cake – Crispy and delicious. Curry Puff (V) – Nicely seasoned potato filling, very tasty. Pork Rib – Unreasonably small portion for the price. Extremely dry (seems like it was fried earlier and reheated), overly salty, and I don’t understand why they added vinegar. Satay Chicken – Two very plain chicken breasts, and the sauce doesn’t taste like satay at all. Khao Soi – The curry sauce and noodles are good, but the chicken leg is bland—it tastes like plain steamed chicken.
The boat noodles and curry soft-shell crab at this Thai restaurant are truly authentic and delicious. The flavors are well-balanced and memorable. However, the service staff felt a bit understaffed, and improving service would make the dining experience perfect.
