In our great city we are spoilt for coffee. In general Sydney makes incredible coffee. As someone who has drunk flat whites for 30+ years I know where the exceptional ones are. Today I discovered Le MONDE. The coffee ticked all five stars in strength, crema and temperature. This coffee was smooth without an overly dominant milk taste. The coffee taste came through and even now lingers. No after grounds in the bottom of the cup as well. The taste was consistent from start to finish. I had another just to be sure and it was. Food was very good. Eggs Benny was delightful.
Lovely brunch spot if you can get a table. Had: iced latte, greens juice, iced coffee, eggs Benedict and bacon/egg roll. All eggs were perfectly poached, the iced latte was the best in Sydney on our two week trip with it still having a coffee taste and could taste the ginger in the juice. Thank you!
A happening and busy cafe in the city. Seats indoors and 4 tables outside. I was only here for the Almond Croissant and cappuccino. The croissant was on sweet and soggy side. Coffee was ok.
While visiting Sydney and being super jet lagged we stumbled on this place really early in the morning and it was an absolute gem! It was the first thing I tried while being in Sydney and it set a high bar. The staff was so kind, the coffee was amazing, the food was so delicious. Highly recommend!
We got food poisoning here — please be careful My wife and I ordered a Caesar wrap and found live larvae inside the food. We stopped eating immediately, but it was already enough for both of us to feel sick a couple of hours later. We had to cancel our planned activities for the day, including paid tours, because we simply felt too unwell to continue. When we showed the issue to the staff, they only offered to replace the sandwich. After finding insects inside the food, this is absolutely unacceptable — I asked for a refund instead. For a café in Sydney, this level of hygiene is shocking. It completely ruined our day and left a very negative impression. Proper food safety and quality control clearly need serious improvement. I hope management takes this seriously. We will not be coming back, and I hope this review helps other customers stay safe.
