Makai Fitness - Pilates, Yoga, Wellness à Long Beach est un studio accueillant qui propose du Pilates sur reformer, du yoga et du travail sur tapis. Une attention personnalisée des instructeurs pour adapter les exercices et prendre en compte les blessures ou les besoins corporels spécifiques.
I attended a Pilates Reformer Essentials class today, as a total newbie. It was only another person and I, and the experience was great. The space is peaceful and charming and the team was great. This was a very basic level, “learn what Pilates and the machine is” and I felt informed and excited upon finishing the class. I look forward to coming back for more! Note: there are a couple designated spots in front of the building, street parking, and a secondary lot. Ask for details on the secondary lot bc it seemed a bit hidden.
I’ve been attending classes consistently at Makai for about a year now. Prior to Makai, I was new to reformer Pilates and generally not a fan of group fitness classes, but I LOVE these group classes. I’ve gained so much postural and body awareness through the coaching and cues the instructors provide. The instructors are attentive, knowledgeable, and they observe and listen to each person in their class. If you are new, I definitely recommend taking the essentials class and speaking up about any injuries or body quirks you are aware of. It’s clear that Eden, the owner, is passionate about fitness and community as it shines through every class that she teaches.
Chelsea’s classes at Makai are my favorite! Her energy is infectious, her playlists are always on point, and her sense of humor makes every class as fun as they are challenging. Since starting her classes, I feel stronger, more confident, and genuinely excited to move my body. She brings a perfect balance of challenge and encouragement, and her ability to read the room and keep everyone motivated is unmatched. I can’t recommend her classes enough ☺️
I joined Mukai fitness back in April 2025. I quickly saw results. I felt stronger, more balanced, toner, and healthier. The community of Mikai that Eden has created is fun, positive, and encourages open inter interaction. Mikai Pilates is now part of my daily routine. Thank you, Eden for creating such a positive space for all 💕💕
I love Makai! Eden and her team of instructors are kind and understanding! Not only will moves be modified if needed, but classes have intensity levels that you can mix and match to your needs. Also there are separate rooms for the reformer pilates classes, and the mat work. I am grateful for all the instructors at Makai and I hope to return again soon.
