My Great Dane started to bloat on Christmas Eve I took him to Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Highland Heights where they were able to decompress his stomach. He spent the night and torsion from the bloat was averted. On January the 13th I took him back for surgery with Dr Padgett to tack his stomach so he would not torsion if he bloated again. I am extremely happy with both sides of the hospital. The emergency side was wonderful and kind. The Specialist side was great as well and I would recommend Dr Padgett to anyone looking for soft tissue surgery on their animal. I am very happy with the care that my Hemingway received. I can't thank each and every one of you enough ❤️
I have been here multiple times! This past time my sweet girl Lainey was backed up for reasons unknown. They had told me when I got there that they were unusually busy for a Wednesday evening. I understood as I have worked with dogs for several years and my girl was not critical. They were kind, compassionate, gave clear expectations on pricing, and truly care for your pet. She ended up having to stay the night and I was able to call multiple times to check on her! I highly recommend them!
Took my boy Mushroom in because he was jaundice & lethargic. We were there for 6 hours due to them being super busy, but Dr. Husseini was fantastic the entire time. She walked me through what they did, what they were going to do & the next steps as well as what each part cost. Unfortunately, I couldn't just take him home, so I had to put him down due to him being pretty bad off. Dr. Husseini and her assistants gave us time alone to spend with him before the procedure. We were able to call her in when we were ready to say goodbye. She came in with the medicine, told us what it was and what it was for & what it does & then administered the euthanasia medicine & let us spend more time alone with him. They did paw prints & put him in a nice box to take him home in. The whole team I delt with was fantastic, very compassionate & kind. They were even able to help assist on our bill. This emergency vet (although I've never been to one before) was overall great. I think this one is somewhat low income friendly especially when it comes to euthanasia. If I ever need to come back, it will definitely be this one.
The staff and facility were absolutely top-notch!! I brought my Labrador in with a severe emergency and the staff worked urgently and compassionately to save him. When they couldn't, they allowed me to grieve with him as long as I wanted, and every person treated me with kindness. Thank you so much for the compassion , skill and care you provided for him. I would highly recommend this care for any pet owner.
Metro is the absolute best! Their compassion for both pets and families is unsurpassed. They communicated everything and allowed us time to make well-informed decisions with prognosis and cost in mind. They saved my dog’s life. I will never go anywhere else! Thank you so much Drs. D’Andrea and Sharp, and everyone else on Charlie’s team. You are true angels
