Lovely and interesting merchandise. I bought two items (which I could easily get cheaper online but wanted to support local stores during Xmas), but my whole experience was so underwhelming at the counter. Seriously, how hard is to say: hello, how are you? How’s your day being? OR Merry Xmas, enjoy your day at the end? Customer service is dead at that store. It was just silence with a “do you want your receipt?” I swear I wanted to return the overly priced trinkets while walking to a lunch I had to attend. Never shopping there again. Sorry.
I bought a really cute capybara-shaped vase/flower pot from Monster Threads because the display with the flower inside was so charming. However, my experience at checkout was very disappointing. The staff member silently removed the flower from the pot without saying a word. There was no greeting, no "hello" or "thank you"—just very cold service. When I asked if the flower was included, she said no. I then asked where I could get a similar flower, and she just told me to try Daiso or Big W. For $16, the vase is already quite pricey, and it was a letdown to have the flower removed without any explanation. Although the store itself is cute, the poor customer service left a bad impression. I don't think I'll be coming back again.
I went to Monster Threads today to get a gift for my Dad. I love this store, there are so many beautiful gifts in store. Andy was working in store today and he was very attentive and friendly to everyone who walked in. I purchased a gift and he carefully wrapped it for me in gift wrap and then offered to wonderfully design it 🤩 10/10 service and an all round lovely experience.
Nice place to buy cute stuff and gifts for your family and friends.
