I now have three tattoos from here, and I am never going to another tattoo shop in Richmond from now on!!! I've been tattooed by Lake for a flash event and their tiny tattoos, and they are such an amazing person to chat with while getting stabbed a bunch! I got a much larger tattoo designed and done by Mickey, and it's currently the best work done on my body so far. Everyone there is so extremely kind and welcoming, I don't feel any sort of anxiety around the pain whatsoever. Absolutely recommend!!!
Amazing lil tattoo shop, I saw Zoe who was doing practice apprentice tattoos, free of charge. Which was extraordinary generous! Not only is she very talented, and an extremely nice, but the tattoo she gave me boosted my confidence so much, I decided to come out as Trans the night after. That tattoo gave me so much confidence that I decided to for go any potential judgment and made me be the person I want to be. Safe to say I like her and her work and would love to book her again 1000/10
Me and a friend found this shop on tiktok and decided to try it out on a whim. They were able to take us as walk-ins. The vibes were immaculate and everyone was so nice and chill. Mickey was fantastic and able to work with us to get exactly what we wanted and did incredible work. 10/10 would recommend!
If you want to know how good Lake is at tattoos, I drove 8 hours from NYC to get one! I've known Lake since college and followed her work over the past 15 years. The quality of work is unsurpassed. So, I always said I would go to Lake when I got my first tattoo. After my cat of nine years passed away, I knew it was time. We exchanged some ideas and Lake said my choice was no problem — despite a lot of fine lines for my cat's fur. The whole process couldn't have been simpler. Lake welcomed us to the shop, sat us down, printed off the design, went over placement and then we got to work. Despite how detailed and full the tatto is, the actual tattooing only took about 1.5 hours. Also, the only discomfort was that my foot kept falling asleep since the tattoo was near my ankle. I know I'm slightly biased, but I honestly can't recommend Lake enough. Everyone who sees the tattoo asked where Lake is located. I think a few are seriously considering trips to Richmond to get a tattoo from Lake. Whether you are getting your 20th tattoo or your first (like me), head to Lake's place!
I was tatted by Rachael Luallen who guest spotted at Moving Mountains and had a fantastic experience with her! First off her communication is on point and she's very friendly, nice and thoughtful. You can tell she's really dedicated to her art and I was surprised to find out she's only been tattooing for about 3 years. Great talent! Very thorough, fair in price and I love how the final piece came out! Also overall the energy in the shop was phenomenal. I immediately felt welcome here and loved the vibes. It's comforting to find a safe space to go to for tattoos and I'll no doubt be back for more!
