Nela is such a bright light! From initial call, to text confirmations, to the first class. She listened to what we were looking for and was so fun to work with! You can tell she loves her job and helped us create the most beautiful surprise first dance at our wedding. Our wedding guest STILL reminisce on this moment in disbelief and excitement over a year later!
Love taking Salsa & Bachata classes with Nela! She makes the classes fun, engaging, and finds great ways to help us understand the steps. I've also enjoyed learning Cumbia and ChaCha at the monthly workshops!
Nela Dance brought so much energy and joy to our celebration! We wanted to incorporate my husband's Peruvian heritage into the evening, and Nela made that vision come to life. In just 45 minutes, she taught our guests Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata, followed by a super fun conga line and dance circle. Her instruction was clear, engaging, and easy to follow—even for guests who were hesitant at first! Everyone, whether participating or just watching, had a blast. It was definitely one of the most memorable parts of the night. We’re even considering taking more lessons with her—she was that much fun!
Nela is one of the most talented dancers and instructors I’ve ever learned from. She really is able to teach quality technique but also keep the dancing fun and flowing during her private lessons. I cannot recommend her enough! My bachata has been leveled up with her!
My experience with Nela Dance exceeded expectations. We hired Nela to do a team building event and she came to our space to give the class. A few of our team members weren’t sure beforehand, but quickly found themselves having a ton of fun and enjoying the dance class. Nela does an amazing job at making everyone feel comfortable and confident during class. She does a great job sharing how to do certain steps, the history and culture of the dance, as well as tips and pointers to let the dance flow naturally. I highly recommend Nela Dance for both dance classes for consumers as well as for team building events for businesses!
