If you're a matcha lover this location is 1 of 3 places nationwide w/ freshly-milled matcha. I got one iced Miyamakaori with notes of dandelion, watermelon, and seaweed. I liked it so much I tried it hot but in the end I preferred it iced. We also got a traditional Gyokuro green tea. They don’t have matcha lattes but they have a decent menu and a nice vibe with all the decor and seating.
Wow this place was amazing! The atmosphere and vibes were so calming and comforting, and I ended up staying there for a long time. I got a flight of three different hot teas that I had picked in advance from looking at the website, and was very happy with all the complex flavor profiles. My only note is that there was only one person working at the time, so wait times were extended. I’m nonetheless looking forward to visiting again!
I stopped in here yesterday since I needed something warm on this cold weekend. I've also never had premium matcha so I was a bit intrigued. They set up the matcha selection by the intensity of the flavor profiles. I was seeing descriptive words for matcha that would've never came to mind but it added to the appeal! I ordered a double of the Takamine Okumidori matcha which is described as being creamy, nori and cashew. While I waited, I walked around the shop as there was a variety of cool things to check out. After browsing, I took a seat on their floor seating for the experience. I also came around open so it was super chill for a bit until more people starting arriving. I loved the pottery in which the matcha is served in. I definitely got both the creaminess and the nuttiness in the matcha too. I'm still trying to rack by brain around matcha and flavor profiles because I feel like its either bitter or just masked with sugar. So, this was actually a pleasant experience to get it in its purest form. I'd happily stop by here again in the future and bring a friend or two too.
I love Matcha tea and I decided to try this place out after reading that it was one of three tea places that mill their own tea. It is a little on the expensive side however, I definitely got my fill of Matcha. They have several selections and varieties to choose from and the barista was good at letting you know which ones are for “beginners”. The one I chose was a bit “grassy” but I knew it was gonna be on the Earthier side of the teas. Cute shop if you’re looking for a gift as they have a great selection of items
One of 3 matcha mills in the USA. Awesome little spot. The decor, smell, sounds, staff, tea and snacks were unmatched. Easily the best tea spot in Minnesota.
