Osteria Savio Volpe absolutely blew me away! The food here is on another level — beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and made with so much care. Every dish felt like comfort and craftsmanship in one. The pasta was a standout: perfectly folded, silky, and coated in a rich, savoury sauce with just the right amount of texture on top. It tasted as incredible as it looked. The main course was cooked with precision — tender, flavourful, and paired with roasted vegetables that added depth and warmth to the plate. Everything was balanced and thoughtfully plated. And the dessert? Stunning. Light, creamy, topped with fresh fruit and slivered almonds, and finished with a dusting of sweetness. A perfect ending to an amazing meal. From start to finish, Osteria Savio Volpe delivers an unforgettable dining experience. If you haven’t been yet, you need to try it — absolutely a must‑visit!
My wife and I have been coming here every year with some friends for the past 3 years to celebrate our anniversary - it has been an absolute treat every time! We go for the 'Alla Famiglia' style and trust the chefs with our meal, and the dishes have never disappointed. Almost everything is perfectly balanced, from the arancini balls to the salads, pastas, and steaks. The cocktails and wine can be a bit pricey but make good compliments to the meal. I would say the dessert is the weakest part of the meal, but the plate still gets cleaned off every time. The service is also top notch - our main waitress and the front of house staff were all very attentive and friendly, and the servers bringing out the food were well informed and professional. Although prices have gone up a tad every year, we definitely see ourselves coming again for many more meals in the future.
Savio Volpe is an absolute gem and easily one of the best dining experiences in Vancouver. From the moment you walk in, the warm, rustic atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a cozy Italian trattoria, inviting, lively, and full of character. The food is outstanding. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared with incredible attention to detail, from the perfectly cooked pastas to the bold, comforting flavors that feel both elevated and authentic. The quality of the ingredients really shines, and the menu strikes a perfect balance between classic Italian comfort and creative flair. The service truly sets this place apart. A special shoutout to our waiter Steve, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was seamless. His attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care made the entire experience even more memorable. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking for an exceptional meal, Savio Volpe delivers on every level. Highly recommend, this is a place you’ll want to return to again and again.
On a Sunday, 5:30pm reservation made weeks in advance on Open Table. Upon entering, the three of us were warmly welcomed and brought to our table at the corner by the kitchen. A very lively place with comfortable Italian touches and decor. Our server was Conner and we thoroughly enjoyed his attentive service and appreciated his knowledge each of the elements in each of the dishes we ordered. Started off with Negroni: Volpi Spagliato, Bianco and Classico. All very well made. Next, Prosciutto di parma with grilled focaccia. Delicious and went well with the cocktails. For our mains: Pork coppa and the off the menu 18oz ribeye steak. The wood fire grill on meats created a very good crust. Both meat dishes were very flavorful with each having it own very umami driven sauce. Our server made a great recommendation to have a side order of sautéed king oyster mushrooms. It had bits of salumi which we enjoyed. We appreciated the sommelier's wine knowledge and guidance: Antonelli Montefalco Rosso - Umbria '22. This wine developed well throughout the dinner mains. We ended with a pistachio cheesecake tart and cocktails Amaro Shakerato. Again the cocktails were very delicious and full flavored. They also kindly added a scoop of gelato with a candle on top as we celebrated a birthday. Overall, we'll definitely be coming back! Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner experience here. The quality of each of the drinks and foods we ordered is excellent. It's a gem of a restaurant. And also well noted is the clean and well attended to restrooms. It's important to the restaurant experience.
We finally got to try this well-known restaurant, and it completely exceeded our expectations !!! We started with the Carne Cruda, which was incredibly tender — easily one of the best we’ve had. The Lingua di Vitello with tuna sauce was beautifully balanced and surprisingly delicious. For mains, the True North Flat Iron steak was unbelievably tender; we absolutely loved it. The broccolini on the side was perfectly seasoned and paired so well with the steak. The Creste di Gallo with lamb ragu was another highlight — springy pasta with spot-on seasoning. The pistachio cannoli for dessert was crisp, not too sweet, and very satisfying. Service was exceptional — thoughtful pacing, dishes served one at a time, plates changed after each course, and even the table refreshed before our mains. These small details made the whole experience feel polished and enjoyable. A fantastic meal from start to finish. We’d happily return — highly recommended 🥰
