I recently moved to the area and definitely have my new go to spot! Today I had a gel pedi and my first dip mani. My nails were in horrible shape. Kim gave me the best led I have ever gotten. Definitely give Polished a try. Also the street parking out front is free.
First walked in and got hit with that salon smell but it seemed to quickly dissipate as I adjusted and mannnn, the staff were so kind, friendly, and talented! Shout out to Mor - she was next level good. They offered us drinks as we sat down - nice touch! The deluxe pedicure was worth every penny. My husband came for his first ever pedi and loved it!
Avoid if you care about nail health and professionalism. This salon uses straight tips without building an apex, leaving acrylics with no structural strength or integrity. One of my nails broke completely off, and when I returned just to have the length cut down so it wouldn’t hang off my finger, Vicky refused to accept even polite, constructive feedback. Instead, she shut down and abruptly walked away, saying she “had another client to attend to.” Completely unprofessional. While the nails may look pretty at first, they are structurally unsafe and could easily lead to painful damage, not worth the risk.
The nail technicians are skilled, but the pricing lacks consistency and transparency. I was charged $90 for an acrylic fill and manicure, despite not receiving basic manicure services such as moisturizer or a hand massage. The cost of my previous two visits was lower, and when I called for clarification, the receptionist initially stated I had been overcharged by $10 and mentioned a recent price increase that was not reflected on their website. However, the manager later claimed I was charged correctly this time and simply undercharged before, without acknowledging any price adjustment. Due to the lack of clear and consistent pricing, I will not be returning.
I have been coming to Polished Lounge for over a year now. I am someone who likes to get my nails done every two weeks or so.. Every place I went to before coming to Polished always presented an issue. It was a struggle... Issues with colors, designs, professionalism, appointments and more. Polished makes you feel appreciated. All of the girls that work there are welcoming, accommodating and are all very talented at their craft. I appreciate feeling comfortable every time I go. They are the BEST in my opinion. I drive from Troy to come here.. because they are just that good. I added a few of my designs over the last year. If you were questioning checking them out I hope this review gives you the push to try :)
