The gym is absolutely incredible. As proof, I’ve lost over 200 pounds working out here in the past year alone. The staff and trainers are truly top-notch, and the price is something you just can’t beat in Columbus. Like a lot of people, I eventually got tired of working out at Planet Fitness and wanted to take the next step in my fitness journey. I was intimidated at first, but as soon as I walked in, that completely changed. I was greeted at the door, given a tour, and started my workout. Being over 400 pounds at the time, I was worried about what people might say, but to my surprise, I was met only with support and encouragement, along with helpful tips whenever I needed them. Eventually, I started working with one of their trainers, Shawn, and that sped my progress up to an entirely new level. Now here I am, 200 pounds lighter. If you’re looking for a place with the most versatile equipment, they literally have everything you could ever need—and they’re always expanding. The place is like a maze in the best way. You’ll find friendly, helpful staff and wonderful gym-goers who are all eager to help you succeed. Look no further and start training like a pro. Also, if you’re coming from out of town and need a day pass, there isn’t a better gym in Columbus. And if you see me working out—I’m there five days a week—feel free to say hi. Here’s my before and after if you need proof.
Gym has a good selection of weights , more then most gym and staff are pretty helpful. Parking included. The financial side of powerhouse is terrible. I tried to cancel my membership but you have to go there or mail a letter to them... I mailed several but they ' never received them'. I ended up closing my discover to stop them billing me every month. They then sent a collection letter to my former address , will attempt to collect a debt and sell it to a third party. Fortius financial seems predatory and anyone who wants to join should be aware of their practices. Gym is decent but once you join it's a nightmare to get out
Great gym. Excellent blend of old school with the latest exercise equipment modalities (two different pendulum squat machines) $30 for a day pass is steep if you are coming from out of town, but $60 for a week pass is certainly reasonable and the better option if you are.
The Pro Gym is just that. Great spot retrofitted from a bank to a gym. They have a great amount of equipment for almost anything you need. The crowd in their had good vibes, and the staff were great to interact with. The gym offers an online day pass, which gives you access after hours, which is huge. I'll definitely be visiting again.
Came here for a lift when we were in town for the Arnold. Had a great back day! The Arnold bring in town I’m sure added way more people than typically do it was pretty full inside. Plenty of options for equipment. The girls locker room didn’t feel very private for changing. There was a posing room but the door was locked so we didn’t see it. We got lucky with a parking spot right out front. Did the $30 day pass. Plenty of merch options available on site. The guy at the front desk was nice but he seemed flustered with the increased crowd.
