We visited this restaurant to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and Christmas. The service was warm and professional—truly outstanding. We would gladly give the staff 5 stars and a big thumbs-up. We ordered two starters and one main course. The starters were delicate and delicious, especially the sweetness of the scallops and the tender duck breast. The Beef Wellington was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor, accompanied by a rich and aromatic mushroom paste. The Brussels sprouts were also excellent—even our child enjoyed them. The only downside was that the mushroom paste in the Beef Wellington was a bit overwhelming and didn’t balance well with the portion of beef, making the dish slightly salty. Overall, it’s a restaurant worth recommending and revisiting, though I might skip the signature Beef Wellington next time. 🙂
Everything are excellent!! FOOD is far beyond expectation in every dishes even sidedishs are perfectly cooked. Service os also Great! Proper and polite. Recommended
Highly recommend Rothwell's for your next wedding event. The private space has its own bar and is spacious with a quaint but modern atmosphere. The exposed sandstone and fairy lights made for great photos I cannot wait to see the professional pics. The food was delicious that our guests raved about it. The staff were amazingly accommodating with special dietary requirements and were close on hand to keep things running smoothly. My husband and I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be visiting again for dinner.
Pretty good steak i would say. One of the better ones I've had. The beef tartare was my favourite. My friends enjoyed their meals too. The person who lead you to the table, this older gentleman tall and skinny really needs to smile more and be more friendly. It felt almost intimidating to enter as he did not at all smile. Felt rude to me. But the rest of the team was excellent. Atmosphere and vibes are chilled and cosy I would return again. I have a work function booked in for the cellar in Nov so I am looking forward to that for all my guests, hopefully get a friendly team.
I had a great experience at this steak restaurant located in a prime area. The ambiance is elegant yet relaxed, perfect for a night out. The staff were lovely, welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home. While waiting for our table, we enjoyed the beautiful bar area, which was a great touch. The portions were generous, and the food was well-prepared and satisfying. They also offer a good variety of wines and drinks to pair with your meal. Definitely a place I’d return to and recommend!
