This was my 1st appt for an evaluation. Nicole was my PT & a very friendly, competent person. I look forward to working with her.
Sophie Giroux is the person you want in your corner when you need PT. She is incredibly knowledgeable and has the ability to teach information in an easy and understandable manner. I would describe her as fearless and unparalleled positive outlook when working toward recovery.
Select Physical therapy is trash and I would not recommend them to my greatest enemy for treatment. Select is a revolving door of PTs. In the 6 months I was there I had 4 PT/PTAs for treatment. The first did not even confirm by Doctors plan of Care until 2 weeks before she was moving. She tried to get me to do single leg ladder drills on my recovering leg, when I still didnt have full mobility or flexion in my leg. Only when I refused to do the exercise and told her my Doctor told me to leave if she attempted to go off treatment again. That is when she admitted she didn't have his plan of care. The only time she really cared was when I almost fell using their parallel bars, because she would have been in trouble, "Can't let a patient fall". My next PT was great and helped a good amount with recovery, but my issues do not end there. Months into 2025 their front desk called me saying I had an outstanding bill for 2024. I had surgery so I met my out of pocket max so I was confused. Turns out their front desk did not confirm my visit count and did not think to follow up on other sources or reach out to the Insurance company to confirm this missing information from their portal. They told me to fill out information for my Insurance company because they couldn't Confirm the limit at the time, I filled out 9 forms, 1 for each visit, attempt to get my Insurance to cover these appointments, however their reps found the visit cap immediately and thus would not cover the visits. Crazy how it didn't exist on the "Website" they use to confirm benefits. They blamed me for this, however, I had no idea visit caps existed. Most patients don't know the ins and outs of their insurance. Then they said they wouldn't have been notified until it was already processed in the new year. Wouldn't I also only get notified at that time as well? And they wouldn't get notified before 9 visits were processed? Either way I had to get on multiple calls with their management to work something out. I still had a bill at the end but wasn't the 2 grand that they tried to strap me with. The kicker is my wife also worked PT front desk for years and we asked former colleagues and they blamed Select for their staff negligence as well. I even tried to maybe get reimbursed in some way for the terrible treatment for the first month or so I was with Emily (first PT) and she didn't have my plan of care. Nope "Already Processed". Regardless Select is terrible place and they care more about money then anything else. If I could give them a 0 star review I would. I will actively tell people to avoid this business and hope everyone reads this and learns from my example. TLDR: Select is trash I almost was reinjured in Therapy and they didnt confirm my benefits fully.
After hurting myself at work I go to select therapy and they are great they give me a variety of exercises to condition my body back to normal and the journey is great. I enjoy going and I’m confident in the staff and myself that I will be back to a hundred percent in the designated time frame given. The staff are positive and have great energy and I appreciate them all.
I have received excellent care! I am worked with and observed. And my exercises are customized and focused on what my body needs for my best recovery. Not everyone works with patients like that and their knowledge and 'hands on' approach has been essential for my recovery
