I had Shaffer Heating and Cooling come out after my HVAC system shut down because the disconnect had melted. I was stressed and worried we’d be freezing, but the technician, Carson, did a wonderful job. He was professional, knowledgeable, and explained everything clearly while fixing the issue. Thanks to him, our system is back up and running and we won’t be cold. I truly appreciate the great service and highly recommend Shaffer Heating and Cooling, especially Carson.

From start to the finish the replacement of my existing downstairs HVAC system done by Shaffer went so smoothly I was glad I chose them to do the work. Setting up the estimate visit to completion of the work took less than 5 days. (My unit was not broken or I am sure it would have been done quicker.) The price was very fair and there was no hard pressure sales pitch for any add ons that I have heard other contractors try to push. The workers who did the install of the new unit and electrical upgrade were on time and very professional. I was ecstatic at the outstanding quality of work and the way they respected my property. I truly believe my garage was cleaner after the work was completed than before they arrived. My upstairs HVAC system is getting close to needing replacement as is my gas water heater. When that day comes I know I will call Shaffer Heating and cooling to perform the work. I will be certain to recommend Shaffer Heating and Cooling to my family and friends if they need this type of work done on their homes.
The best and most trusted company I’ve worked with! I’m having a full central air system installed. They have been nothing but professional, hard working and clearly dedicated to the detail of the job. My house was built in 1930 so the plaster and wood they had to go through cost them a few blades but Jon knew this and his team was well prepared! Each team member was respectful and courteous. I won’t use any other company for my heating and cooling needs. We hit a little hiccup with the snow storm but they were prepared completing the outside work prior to the snow coming and inside work at the start of the snow storm. They will be back to finish it up next week. Oh, and they took out my heavy AC window unit that I would not have been able to move myself. Thanks guys! Laurie H. 3/12/25 Job complete! We had the privilege of engaging with Shaffer Heating and Cooling on 12/21/23. Initially, Teddy was dispatched to assess the heating situation in our home. He was more than competent and very knowledgeable about the system that we have, and he was thorough in explaining remedies to maximize efficiency. A comprehensive assessment was provided, inclusive of photos that were subsequently transmitted to another technician within the company. From that action, it was determined that the reserve tank on the boiler system was inadequate. Teddy left to retrieve a replacement, and upon return he introduced John into the equation. While it took a while, the two of them worked feverishly to correct the existing deficiencies in the system and provide heat for the home. Given that it is the cold season of the year, I was impressed with their tenacity in getting us back up and running. In spite of several obstacles, both exhibited exemplary professionalism in executing their tasks. I offer my overwhelming thanks to both Teddy and John and my strongest recommendation for the Shaffer service team to anyone experiencing heating issues.
