After 3 sessions of AviClear with Mikaela, I can confidently say that I love both my results and experience. My active acne has significantly reduced and my overall skin texture has improved (my Visia results can confirm). While the results have been amazing, my experience with Mikaela stands out the most as she's made my visits something to look forward to each time. She is skilled, personable and knowledgable. She takes great care of me and I couldn't recommend her enough!
I decided to sign up for Cool Sculpting because I didn’t recognize my body anymore. Since going through a few sessions of Cool Sculpting, I have experienced amazing results that goes deeper than the look and appearance. I have noticed that I have more energy and I can walk faster and overall I feel better. This is an amazing byproduct of what I signed up for. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I also got a chance to get to know an amazing person named, Ragan Lake who was in charge of the procedure. She is knowledgeable, trustworthy, friendly with an amazing personality. Thank you Skin DC, the name I have been trusting since you opened.
Fairly underwhelmed with my post-appointment experience with this office. I had my first appointment a few weeks ago. The facilities are great and Dr. Stovall was very friendly and knowledgeable. After my appointment, I paid my co-pay and went on my way. A few weeks later, I received a bill for an additional amount. When I called the billing office, I was met with a very condescending employee. I asked why I was not given an estimate for the amount it would cost me with my insurance. I was told that I ‘didn’t ask’ and that is why I didn’t receive a quote. I asked why all patients are not given an estimate before their appointments if they have a contracted rate with specific insurances and I was told ‘that would take too much time and we wouldn’t be able to see any patients’ (even though I was informed that they used to do this). To me, a print out with the estimated contracted rate each insurance has negotiated is a pretty quick computer function and prevents patients being upset, but apparently this office prioritizes high productivity over making patients happy. While I wouldn’t necessarily not recommend this office, I would HIGHLY recommend you call your insurance AND the office to ask for estimates on contracted rates before you go, or risk being surprised with an additional bill.
I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for quality medical care. During my last appointment, the provider spent less than 5 minutes in the room. I waited longer in the lobby than being actually seen. When I requested only female staff, I was made to feel like it was a problem, and they weren’t sure if it could be accommodated. If you need any sort of follow up or have any questions, forget it. It took over 2 weeks, and multiple texts (since they don't pick up the phone) to get any sort of response.
After years of struggling with melasma and acne scarring after having children — and trying several dermatology practices without much progress — I finally found Dr. Lina Naga at Skin DC. From the first appointment, she listened carefully and built a plan that actually worked. The combination of a prescription topical, a new serum, and a gentle lotion has completely changed my skin. My acne is under control, my texture has improved, and my confidence is back. The Botox treatments have been the best I’ve ever had — natural, balanced, and never heavy. I love that we have a thoughtful, long-term plan to restore some of the youth and brightness I’d lost, and that every step feels intentional and tailored to me. I’ve never felt so cared for by a dermatology practice. The whole team at Skin DC is warm, professional, and genuinely invested in their patients’ results. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
