Situé au 405 Velasco St à Houston, The Book Cycle est une librairie fondée sur les dons qui offre des livres gratuitement plutôt que de les vendre, triés par genre pour faciliter la navigation. Des bénévoles et un personnel sympathique aident les visiteurs, y compris les parents avec un espace pour enfants. Les donateurs sont les bienvenus, et un stationnement gratuit dans la rue à proximité facilite la visite de ce joyau communautaire.

I found out about the book cycle recently. I have been waiting till after the holidays to check it out. It's a pretty awesome. I can't wait to come back!
This was my first visit and I was really impressed. They have a wonderful variety of books spanning different genres, with a nice mix of older classics and newer titles. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. What makes this place special is that they give books away rather than selling them, such a fantastic mission! If you'd like to support their work, they welcome donations. Street parking is available nearby. Highly recommend checking them out if you love books and want to support a worthwhile cause!
This place is unique they offer free books organized by genre, making it easy to browse and find something that interests you. There’s a wide selection, and you simply check out at the counter. Parking is limited, but it didn’t feel overly crowded when I visited. It is free parking.
Amazing place! Everything is neatly organized, they have all genres and a cute area for kids books. The people who volunteer their time are always so kind and helpful. I have never had an issue with parking outside. My new favorite place to donate books since they don't allow the scanners, yay to sharing books! Will always recommend this spot, a gem for the Houston community.
The Book Cycle is a hidden gem!! Any book lover would be in heaven here, such a variety of books from old to new, for adults and children even teachers and students can find something here. My son and I love this place and we appreciate the staff so much for being so kind and helpful. Not only have we found and given books a new home, we’ve donated just as many. This is a great spot not just for the free books, but to encourage new readers to keep on reading. Can’t wait to keep visiting y’all!
