Cozy little breakfast spot. The biscuits and gravy were full of flavor 7.5/10 - highly recommend. Got a mandatory pancake, but was not too impressed, so you could pass. The atmosphere, presentation, and good biscuits and gravy is worthy of 4 stars.
What a great place for breakfast or lunch. You have a huge selection of sweet and savory breakfast and lunch options. There’s a free refill for coffee. The service was really nice. Everything was clean. It’s certainly not cheap but from time to time you can do this.
Excellent brunch and breakfast fare. The biscuits and gravy were elegant and delicious. It is worth coming here just for this dish. The scrambled egg and hash browns were nothing to lay much praise on (particularly since the scramble was overcooked), but the biscuits and gravy more than compensate for the less than stellar egg preparation. Try their simple but interesting take on the french toast: rich butter on a french baguette with maple syrup on the side. The only edits that could have elevated this would be fresh raspberry compote with lemon zest :) The cappuccino was also good. Overall this is a very nice brunch place worthy of its fame.
Excellent food. Friendly service. We ordered the Biscuits and Gravy. It's not your typical biscuit or gravy, but it was delicious. My only regret was ordering a Full instead of a Half because I didn't need that much food. We also ordered the Big Ol' Bennie. It was great. The ham was some of the best breakfast ham I've ever had. We also treated ourselves to a cinnamon roll, and since it was after 1:30pm, it was half priced. It was too much food but also tasted good. Lastly, we ordered a side of hash browns, which were crispy but could use some seasoning or hot sauce. Highly recommend the food overall.
I love coming here for breakfast when I'm in St. Paul. I can't eat eggs, but they always let me substitute chorizo for the avocado toast, or take eggs off the breakfast tacos (both are delicious). The coffee is really good, and I'm picky when it comes to a cup of black coffee. The staff are always friendly, and check in to make sure we have everything we need and are enjoying our meal. It's not a large place, so grab a table before the rush. Lots of sweet options for those who enjoy breads & cakes, and plenty of savory options too. You won't be disappointed, and if you are, ummmm weird.
