Right now, they have a special Holidays Gift Card Special with a “Spin the Wheel” Event where I won a mystery Luxe bag! Everyone at this salon is a standout! Tonya Jones is a great hair salon. Whatever you want done they can do. The salon is clean and well managed. Heidi is the bomb!
Wade is absolutely incredible! I’ve been seeing Wade for a while now, and I can honestly say he’s one of the most talented stylists I’ve ever met. He takes the time to listen, understand what you want, and somehow makes your hair look even better than you imagined. Whether it’s color, cuts, or styling — he nails it every single time. What stands out most about Wade is not just his skill, but his kindness and professionalism. He makes every appointment relaxing and enjoyable, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his clients. I’ve seen so many people leave his chair looking (and feeling!) amazing — myself included. He’s an artist, and anyone who sits in his chair can see that. If you want gorgeous hair and a stylist who truly knows his craft, I cannot recommend Wade enough. 💇♀️✨
The salon is very welcoming. Heidi, at the front desk, multitasks checking in and out, answering the phone, making drinks and taking care of everyone’s needs. The snacks and drinks at the bar area are a nice pick me up for a late afternoon appointment. Kacie does my hair and it is always perfect. Wade does my daughters and it is always beautiful. They are both great with blond highlights and cuts.
**The Worst Hair Appointment of My Life – July 12, 2025** I came to TJS hoping for a fresh start. After coloring my hair at home for long time, I wanted professional guidance—someone who could listen, assess, and help me refresh my look. After discussing this Wade was confident he could help. I put my trust in Wade, and that trust was absolutely shattered. Wade began with foils and dye but then excused himself... to eat pizza and drink a margarita. When he returned, he casually remarked how good the pizza and drink were. No discussion of technique, no reassurance. Just small talk about his lunch. Then came chaos. Wade applied a second, different dye on the unfoiled hair and left again. When he returned, he started removing foils, grabbed yet another chemical, I think another dye, and began saturating my hair—without telling me what was happening. Soon, panic set in. Wade's tone changed. He was visibly anxious, repeatedly telling me, “Whatever you do, don’t look in the mirror.” He rushed me to the sink, washed out the dye, and coated my hair with yet another chemical. Still no explanation. After another rinse, and applying I believe the same chemical again, he begged me again not to look, saying, “I don’t want you to see the green.” Green? Apparently, he'd added green to counteract the orange and red. Then, as if improvising in real time, he asked if he could just dye it all brown. At this point, I was too stunned to protest. After applying the brown dye, Wade handed me off to someone else to wash my hair out again, because he had another appointment. I sat, waiting, for Wade to return. When Wade returned from his other customer, he took me up front and started combing my hair out. He showed me my hair and suggested cutting off 5–6 inches because of how destroyed it was. The cut itself was rough, there was no precision, no technique, just a rough hack job to remove the most fried parts. After this Wade blow dried my hair and tried to act like everything turned out great. When I mentioned he hadn’t layered the cut, he did a few quick snips and announced he was done. After this I was rushed to the counter where I paid nearly $300 before tip, where I even gave Wade a 25% tip out of misplaced relief. However, at this point I had not seen the back of my hair. The relief lasted until I got in the car. Looking closely, I saw the true damage. Splotchy patches, uneven tones, some of it blonde. The texture felt like straw. Later, my daughter took photos. My hair looked —burnt, brittle, and discolored with black, red, brown, and blonde streaks in the back. A professional stylist has since told me there’s no quick fix. My hair is so compromised, I’ll need to wait for it to grow or slowly recover with treatment before even considering anything to help with the multiple streaks of color.. I've had bad hair days before, but this wasn’t just bad, this was reckless. My scalp felt sun burned for 24 hours. My hair was chemically brutalized. The color correction was amateur at best, insulting at worst. And the total lack of transparency made the experience feel not only unprofessional, but dishonest. No one should walk into a salon expecting expert care and walk out with shame, regret, and hundreds of dollars down the drain.
