I’ve gotten a blowout a few times now and can say this is the best place in town when you’re in need! The staff is so kind and so informative. Already looking forward to booking my next apppointment!

I had a really disappointing experience here and would not recommend this location to anyone with curly, textured, or ethnic hair. I booked the most basic blowout and clearly noted in my reservation before the appointment that I have curly hair. Despite that, the stylist did not disclose that she was inexperienced with textured hair. The blowout took over an hour, and when she finished, my roots were not straight at all and were visibly frizzy. I asked if she could try to smooth the roots, and another stylist came over to offer advice from the side but would not take over or actually fix the issue. It felt like they were trying to “salvage” the situation rather than deliver the service I paid for. At checkout, I apologized for critiquing the work (which I honestly shouldn’t have had to do), and I was told, “We just did a training on curly hair, so I think this was a good learning opportunity for her.” I don’t believe clients should be paying to be learning opportunities—especially when expectations were clearly communicated in advance. If you have straight hair, you may be fine here. But if you have curly or textured hair, I would strongly suggest going elsewhere. Edited to respond to owner response: Not true, sorry. I actually suggested they use a flat iron to fix the bad blowout, and the stylists declined as they suggested that would be “putting too much heat” on my hair. Also, multiple products were applied to my hair by your stylists, which did not address the poor technique. Lastly, I was in the chair for over an hour, plenty of time for a qualified professional to do a decent blowout (I’ve had many in the past).
I had a blow out/style by Janice and full face makeup by Ree before formal work event. First off all of the staff I interacted with over the phone and in person were all so kind and helpful. I had a tight/stressful schedule arriving after work and then needing to get back downtown for my event in a short time. Janice and Ree were efficient yet very attentive and listened to what I wanted and my feedback throughout my visit and they delivered exactly what I asked for! They were very kind to allow me to store my formal dress in the back and let me get changed into my dress prior to leaving. Everyone was so accommodating, friendly, and complimentary. This relieved so much stress and allowed me to relax and enjoy the evening. Ree colormatched my foundation perfectly and executed a very naturally flawless look, which is precisely what I asked for. My hair and makeup lasted all night and looked great in photos! Quite an accomplishment since I have fine, thin hair and “mature” skin. Thank you so much!!! will definitely be back!! Y’all do not hesitate to trust the ladies at Blo to deliver the look you want for your most important events!
