This facility and community is amazing! Watching my daughters practice jiu jitsu has been one of the most unexpectedly powerful lessons of my life. I am constantly in awe of them! Every session, I see courage in its purest form: not just in facing fear, but in showing up with confidence, grit, and heart. I see them lose, win, hold their ground, and be pushed past their comfort zones. I watch them assess when they’re ready for the next step, and when they need more time. The professors have been instrumental in our journey. They are firm/structured and empowering. They assess the kids capabilities and hold them accountable to their fullest capacity. Our girls are learning discipline, resilience, and self-belief. And in the process, I’m learning right alongside them. So glad we found Trein to help us instill such incredible life-skills to our children.
I had high hopes for the kids' Jiu-Jitsu program here, but unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by how harsh the professors were with the kids. Instead of encouraging and guiding them, they often came across as overly strict and impatient. The environment feels too intense for a class that’s supposed to help children build confidence, discipline, and skill. Kids absolutely need structure—but they also need encouragement, patience, attention, and guidance, especially when they’re just starting out or still learning how to focus. We fully respect that discipline is a big part of martial arts, but there’s a fine line between being firm and being discouraging. Children thrive when they’re supported, not scolded. I really wanted to enjoy bringing my child to this gym, but the experience has been frustrating. Instead of being able to relax and trust that our kids are in good hands, many parents feel the need to stay and watch closely—not just to cheer them on, but because we’re genuinely concerned about how they’re being spoken to and treated. That takes away from the experience for both the children and the parents. Perhaps if there were more professors present—ideally a ratio of 1 instructor per 4-6 students—it would allow for more individual attention, reduce the need for harshness, and create a more supportive atmosphere. This is especially important for younger children, who often need extra patience, guidance, and reassurance as they learn to follow instructions, build confidence, and feel safe on the mat—especially when taking on something as physically and mentally challenging as Jiu-Jitsu. With a more supportive and balanced approach, this could be a great place for kids to TREIN and grow. A little more patience and positivity from the professors would go a long way. Until then, I can’t fully recommend this gym for families with young children.
The Professors and staff are outstanding. They do an excellent job teaching everyone from children to adults. This place offers so much for the whole family. It has truly created new bonds between parents and their children. I recommend stopping by and seeing what all the hype is about!
Trein Club has been an amazing experience for our family. My daughter has been practicing Jiu-Jitsu for 3 years, and the professors here are some of the best—professional, patient, and truly invested in their students’ growth. The community is incredibly welcoming, which makes training even more enjoyable. I’ve also tried a couple of the hot yoga classes with Jose, and they were fantastic! The infrared heat, combined with his guidance, made the classes both energizing and restorative. The space is beautiful, calming, and thoughtfully designed. Overall, Trein Club strikes the perfect balance between high-quality training, wellness, and community. We are so happy to be part of it!
The facility is pristine and super spacious. The kickboxing coach is awesome. Coach Chapa is very knowledgeable. He makes class fun and educational. He takes time to work with everyone to make sure they get the most out of their time. No matter what skill level he is able to adjust his coaching to their needs. It makes class very engaging and leaves you wanting to progress and keep getting better. I think if you come to just one class, you will leave already planning to come back. Or at least that’s how it went for me!
