I am so glad that my local bike shop is a Trek shop. After tons of research, there is plenty of data that put Trek in the Ferrari class of bikes (Atleast the flagship models, ). The Domane AL 4 I purchased is so beautiful and rides like a fighter jet. Already looking to upgrade so I highly recommend to go big off the bat if you can afford it. The shop has everything you need to get started, and they will even tell you what items you might find elsewhere for cheaper but generally you will just want to buy their products which are superior quality to support your local bike shop. The staff was excited to initiate a new member into the cycling scene (me), and they did not disappoint as I just turned 40 years old and running hurts. I have lost 10 lbs in about 70 days with my new bike, all around the waste! I ran four 5k's a week and never really noticed any improvements, and I hated every step of it. Especially shin splints! On the bike I can go for hours and recently did 3+ hours over 50 miles, which honestly just felt casual. You can really get a lot more cardio in than any other sport, just bring your wallet so you can pit stop for some grub :) Last off, heading there for service is like going to a bar... their fridge is stocked with St. Arnolds beers!
Great attention to customers needs and acknowledge everyone as they came in. Got me in and out and prioritized my time with concern to my issues. Service with a smile!
Been visiting this store for 3 years now when I head over to Houston for the Bike Around The Bay Event the staff have always been really good i've had mechanicals which could have prevented me riding but they fitted me in and got on the road quickly, very friendly staff with good product knowledge....they even do a good cup of coffee
The crew here is fantastic. They’re not just selling bikes—they’re building a cycling community. The Tuesday and Thursday group rides are some of the best in town: less traffic, a few sprint zones to burn all your gas, and plenty of fun. Great shop, great riders, and a place that truly keeps the cycling spirit alive. Kudos to all the staff there!
Where have these bike whisperers been all our lives? Huge thanks to Mark Chambers, Tito, Max, and store manager Tyler Reynolds at Trek Bicycle Houston West University—true pros with the hearts of riding buddies and the brains of NASA engineers (but cooler and with better socks). We came in with a mission: declutter our garage from a pile of pandemic-era bikes we’ve outgrown and revive an old-school 12-speed road bike that’s been resting since Reagan was president. Oh—and find a split saddle performance seat worthy of my dad’s indoor Wahoo trainer throne. This team didn’t just check boxes—they brought the full personal, professional, and family-friendly service experience. Mark and Tito helped us plan how to responsibly and smartly sell our old bikes. Max tuned up our vintage road warrior with surgical precision. Tyler kept the whole process smooth, upbeat, and genuinely enjoyable. No upselling. No pressure. Just thoughtful advice, smart recommendations, and some seriously good vibes. If you're looking for a bike shop where the team remembers your name, understands your gear goals, and doesn’t mind if you ask a dozen “just curious” questions—this is the place. Ride on, Trek West U!
