Umami est un restaurant japonais très bien noté situé sur Sauchiehall Street à Glasgow, offrant une expérience culinaire authentique axée sur des plats frais et savoureux. Le restaurant est célèbre pour ses sushis, sashimis, katsu curry et boîtes bento magnifiquement présentés, tous préparés avec des ingrédients de haute qualité. Le personnel amical et attentif assure un service excellent, rendant chaque visite détendue et agréable. Ordered the katsu pork curry and it was very delicious - curry had the right amount of spice and was quite filling! Finally found a place that serves good authentic Japanese curry 😊 the sashimi was good too, servers are friendly and quick serving times. Overall great authentic Japanese food!
Had a lovely experience at Umami in Glasgow! The food was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented, but what really stood out was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and happy to help, which made the whole visit feel relaxed and enjoyable. They took the time to check in, give recommendations, and made us feel genuinely looked after. A great atmosphere with delicious Asian food and wonderful service — I’ll definitely be back and would happily recommend Umami to others. 😊
The food here was sooo delicious! I normally dislike sushi but the sushi here was amazing and I was introduced to many new dishes! Furthermore, the staff were all very polite and friendly :) they were very willing to answer any questions as well. I’ve been here multiple times and the food is always at the same high quality.
The best Japanese restaurant I've been to in Scotland so far. The staff were so attentive and so nice, they guided us through all the things in the menu. The food was absolutely amazing and such good value for money. Truly such an amazing experience, so glad we chose to have dinner here! Would highly recommend!
Welcoming staff, lovely to hear Japanese chat from the kitchen, waitress with impeccable manners who even poured my soy sauce and told me what each part of my bento box consisted of, the freshest produce, decent price point and even lunch deals Mon-Fri 12-3. You can tell that the agedashi tofu had just been fried that minute, and the tempura was light and crunchy..all very fresh and beautifully presented. Seaweed had that bite to it which tells of the freshness too. Even the chop sticks had a very fine point to them so picking up your food was a breeze, unlike other places which have those thick round, cheap, slippery ones. The miso had branded bowls and ladle too, everything had been considered. I was growing so despondent at finding excellent Japanese in the city and now I’ve found it! A hidden gem and they deserve their success. I ate alone and felt very welcome and comforted, next time I’ll bring all my friends!
