I booked with Steph after posting in a Facebook group looking for a stylist who specializes in fine hair, and so many people recommended her. She did an amazing job and went above and beyond answering my questions and giving thoughtful recommendations. She’s also great to talk to, which made the whole appointment even better. The salon is cute and everyone was very friendly. I’ll definitely be back!
They were extremely friendly, and I enjoyed the service. I wear a wig because my hair isn’t very thick, and they took me regardless, which I appreciated. I did bring a picture reference of the cut I wanted. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive the cut I was hoping for. I did get layers, but the overall style wasn’t what I asked for. She offered for me to come back and add more, but I felt too disappointed to do so. If you’re looking for something different from the style I requested, you may have a better experience. ( I’m the one wearing black) And to their reply -I’m simply sharing my experience. I called ahead to ask if the service could be done on a wig and was told yes. If there were limitations, the appointment could have been declined at that time. I brought a reference photo and trusted professional judgment. While an adjustment was offered, I chose not to return after feeling disappointed with the result. I’d like to clearly correct an inaccuracy in the response: there were no extensions of any kind involved. This was solely a wig service, and the wig is 100% human hair with free parting and extremely flexible. It was adjusted once after the hair was washed, not repeatedly. Additionally, the first stylist was unable to complete the service independently, and the woman at the front stepped in to assist. My review reflects the outcome of the service and my personal experience, not an attack on the salon. This salon may be a good fit for others, but not for clients seeking more intense layering or services involving wigs or extensions. I don’t blame the salon and recognize this may have been a mismatch. My feedback is informational, not silly. I wish you the best. Although Now that I see their response, I feel as it’s unprofessional for a salon to air out any client’s business. I came to them in confidence.
I wish I could give Jess 10 stars!! She’s absolutely amazing and incredibly skilled at all the trendy cuts you see online—wolf cuts, layers, and stunning curtain or regular bangs. I’ve been to her a couple of times now, and she is nothing less than professional, always making sure you leave her chair feeling like an absolute 10/10. I highly recommend her!
A picture of my hair before, the inspiration picture of the haircut I wanted, the results of the haircut w/styling, and then a picture of my hair without the styling. I spent a year growing out my hair hoping when I finally got a haircut it'd turn out nice. But instead the haircut was way too short, the layers aren't right, and it's so blunt and straight at the ends. I've had short haircuts before, but it has never been this bad. I really feel like this haircut was doable with the way my hair was, but I guess not. I understand hair grows back but this was genuinely awful. I don't recommend coming here if you want layers or trendy haircuts.
I’ve been a loyal client for over a year and getting my hair done at Volume is always a treat, never a chore. Not only do I adore my stylist, Jackie, but the entire team is so friendly and accommodating! It’s a very welcoming and genuine environment, and I’m always highly satisfied with the results and feel confident when I want to change things up/try something new. Jackie’s been doing my red with seasonal transitions for a while now, and I won’t be bored of it any time soon! It’s the kind of salon that regardless of if I move further away in the future, I will make the trip for my appointment.
