6 stars if I could rate that high! I just took a class here this morning and it was highly intense but Dan Alexander was so accommodating for my fitness level and met me where I am. I'm planning on taking lots more classes and when I'm in shape enough, a membership! Also, the other gym members are supportive and approachable. Because I'm really new to boxing, I was worried as a woman in my 20s I would be treated differently or be put in a difficult situation, but that was absolutely not the case here!!! :)
This boxing gym stands out in all the right ways. The equipment is top notch and clearly well cared for, which makes every training session feel purposeful and professional. The gym itself is clean, organized, and consistently well maintained, creating an environment that’s easy to focus and work hard in. What really sets this place apart, though, is the coaching. The coach has a strong teaching philosophy and does an excellent job breaking down techniques and concepts so they actually make sense, regardless of your experience level. He takes the time to understand what each person wants to get out of training and is genuinely open to feedback. Whether your goal is to train for a marathon, lose weight, build confidence, or compete, there’s a class and a path that supports it. Beyond the physical space and training, the culture is exceptional. The gym feels more like a family than a business, supportive, encouraging, and welcoming at every level. It’s a place that pushes you to be better while making you feel like you belong.
It’s been about 12 years since I’ve stepped into a boxing gym and Alexander’s Fitness & Boxing exemplifies everything that is good about boxing. The environment is welcoming yet challenging for all levels, and Coach Dan not only uses boxing to hone your body, but to improve your overall sense of awareness and self-esteem while providing top of the line - combat ready training. The equipment is always clean and available and every time I leave I feel like I pushed myself, accomplished something and learned something new. Could not recommend this place enough for all levels of experience.
Three words: SIGN UP NOW!!! The workouts are crucial—for sure! It’s hard work that truly pays off. The gym is clean, and the vibe is great. Dan customizes the workouts to match your fitness level and personal goals. I really appreciate the motivation throughout each session. Being one month postpartum, I was a little nervous about jumping back into fitness, but Dan has made the transition so smooth—and I’m incredibly grateful for that. Thank you, Dan! Also, the kids’ boxing classes? Absolute hit. 100/10!
This is the place to go to if you are looking for a complete boxing gym. There's a ring, 8+ different types of bags and reflex bags, aerobike, man-powered treadmill, battle ropes, boxes, free weights, and tons of things I'm leaving out. The classes are challenging and rewarding in the best way. As an amateur boxer, I also appreciate the one-on-one training sessions. Ladies - this is a super supportive environment to workout and box! There are often some women to spar and there's never any problem sparring men. Dan is a fantastic coach who truly cares - I've been working with him for the past year and can say that I've improved significantly because of it (both with my boxing and personal fitness).
