Absolute gem on Division. I don't think I've ever walked out of their empty-handed. They're always getting new stuff and the selection is very well curated.
I’ve shopped here for yearrrssss, have recommended them to everyone and anyone but definitely feel like the last few visits it has felt like your stereotypical snooty Portland business (portland native here). I, for once, didn’t bring a bag, had a heavy work purse and tote already filled with groceries, I travel by bus and walking so when I asked why, out of curiosity, they don’t just have bags customers can pay for, i was told “this is why our business is called artifact creative recycle because we recycle everything from the tags and the bags our customers bring in.” And I completely understand, it’s Portland for goodness sake like I recycle everything I possibly can. But! C’mon now.. to tell a customer “we’re just so popular here that we run out of the bags we get in” seems silly when I’m here spending $70 on a stack of denim that I now I have to carry with me on a long trip home transferring from bus to max. Just food for thought, perhaps don’t make your customers feel bad for not providing supplies that all businesses, truthfully, should offer a paying client. I’d rather pay for a recycled material bag like at the thrift shop on Hawthorne than be offered to buy a bag from their racks just to have something to carry my clothes out in.
Such a fun thrift! There just enough stuff tucked in this shop that you are sure to unearth a treasure but not be overwhelmed. Racks are well organized and easy to flip through to find your next thrift pieces. Some high end brands peak through, and all other items are of good condition and value. Loved the addition home goods and furniture around the store as well. If you’re in need of some fun throw pillows check this place out. Best of all everything was well priced for its value. Big dressing rooms so you can actually try items on, and helpful staff to manage your take backs. We had a ball! I’ll definitely be back here on my next visit to Portland.
Artifact Creative Recycle is a super chill curated space filled with all sorts of unique items, It’s like stepping into a treasure trove of creativity. If you’re looking to update your wardrobe, decor, art, curiosities, or just plain cool shit Artifact’s got you covered!! They actually have a “COOL SHIT” room. The staff is welcoming, friendly, & knowledgeable, never pushy or judgmental, a safe place where you can do you. Stop in soon and ignite your creative self…they will not disappoint!
Wow, well done, Artifact!! Interesting inventory that changes every day, great consignment flow, a nice array of affordable clothing and other odds and ins that keeps a person looking in every corner for what special gem might be hiding. This place feels fresh, interesting, and keeps it all moving! No dust settles here!
