Avoid this business at all costs. I paid a deposit for a food truck in May of 2024 on the promise that they will deliver the truck in October 2024. I organised and bought the truck from a company they recommended when they asked for it. Up until now i have paid more than $25,000 for components that they said were needed. It has been almost 8 months and the truck is not even in production yet, they do not answer calls or texts and have cut all communication. I have also lodged a complaint with fair trading for this matter and will be escalating it legally. They don't even deserve the 1 star.

Took our deposit and failed to supply. Silent on any emails and full of empty promises on phone calls. NSW Fair Trading have been advised and this matter will be lodged with Campbelltown local court. Letter of demand has been issued. Do not under any circumstances deal with these people.

I spoke to John King in December 2022 requesting information and pricing in building me a new 8.5 mtr race car trailer which he did send through to me, John did say that our trailer would be the first to start in 2023 and would be delivered first week in April. Aust Food Vans was closing for their Xmas break and would return early January 23. I transferred the deposit through to John being $11,384 on 10th January when they returned, our trailer was not ready in April as promised it was not finished until October 2023 during this time I was given so many excuses and reason for the delay even when we drove from Brisbane to Sydney to pick it up it was still not finished we waited around for at least a further six hours while they finished off jobs on the trailer we had to remove all the side panel protective plastic when we got it back to Brisbane. Our first trip with the trailer (Loaded) was to Mackay and on the return trip we got to Rockhampton when we discovered two suspension hangers had broken away and another was showing cracks we were able to nurse it to a repair shop in Rockhampton and they were able to weld it all back in place so to get us back to Brisbane where we then got the whole suspension checked and braced where required. I spoke to John about the issues we had and he told me in the 30 plus years he has been building trailers this has never happen even tho the repair shop in Rockhampton stated to us “ the way that was welded it was going to fail at some point in time” , John did say that he would pay me $500 towards the repair but I have not seen a cent. The trailer has only had a total of three trips and now three of the roof panels have started lifting up I now see we have another problem the roof sheets were not siliconed down only double sided tape was used all of the wall sheets were doubled sided taped along with the silicone and there is no problem there. I have emailed John and also tried to call him both receiving no response so no doubt Aust Food Trailers will sell you a trailer but forget trying to get any after sales service and the quality of workmanship is very poor. I would never recommend Aust Food Vans as a possible trailer manufacturer. A bit of communication would be nice.

DONT GO HERE WE PLACED AN ORDER FOR OUR FOOD TRAILER 11 months AGO AND THEY HAVE NOR STARTED THE PROCESS, THE CONTRACT SAYS 22 to 26 MONTHS TO BUILD YET THEY HAVE NOT EVEN STARTED THEY HAVE WASTED OUR TIME FOR US TO START OUR BUSINESS. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THESE PEOPLE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY DONT UPDATE US ON ANYTHING

PLEASE BE CAREFUL, I ordered a canopy decked out for my Ute. Waited over a year, got promised Every month for 8 months by Donna ( owner) that I will have it by next month next month all the time. Nothing ever happened. I told her I need to cancel if I don’t get it as I can’t afford having my Ute stand around. She was happy that I cancelled and she said that she would pay my 4K deposit back within 2 weeks, back May22. We have May 23 she gave me back 500 months ago, now avoiding every email. I did get a couple email a few months ago stating she can’t afford it at the moment business has been slow but in a couple of weeks I’ll get more. I said ok. Couple weeks passed, nothing then an email stating she doesn’t have to give me my money back, as I signed a contact, but in good will she will. She never did, and it’s been months, although I told her she never kept her word and gave me the product that was signed for within 3 months. Yes understand there was a delay cause of lockdown that’s why the delay until November 21, but then she pushed it out and promised always next month. I won’t let them get away with it, and have reported it, and also will take it legal, people should not be doing this to others. PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND HOPE THIS WILL WARN U FROM Them.
