As a mom of 2 under 4, I appreciate how easy it is to show up, work out, and go about my day. Dan tracks my progress and is great at suggesting alternative movements when needed to accommodate an old injury. The ASF method is the perfect balance of structured regimen with flexibility, and I love not having to carry the mental load of tracking stats or remembering what weight I need to add to a machine or when to increase it. If you’re starting from zero and looking to get back in shape after kids, Dan’s the man!
My experience at Austin Simply Fit has exceeded my expectations. I started training with Alyssa a couple of months ago and I've already seen great results with just a couple of sessions per week. She's able to easily explain how to perform each movement and has the type of personality that keeps me accountable and focused on the task at hand. I didn't start at ASF in the best shape, and I've never felt totally comfortable in a gym setting, but she's been great about keeping me motivated and feeling upbeat as I progress through the program. I have nothing but good things to say about her training and the gym as a whole.
I've been working with Dan (weekly) for several years now -- and he has been great! I needed a trainer that could modify exercises to ensure I did not re-injure my back & neck. He didn't just avoid the problem exercises/areas-- but he focused our training program to build up strength to counter-balance my old injuries, & ultimately make me more stable. I appreciate that he's constantly learning & trying to find new ways to help me achieve my goal from my current condition. And, more generally, I appreciate the culture of trainers + clients at ASF! Absolutely recommend.
I have been going to Sianna for almost two years. She is a former college athlete with a masters degree, so she has the double whammy of personal experience with education to back it all up. She helped me get ready to be pregnant with baby #3, and it was my easiest, healthiest pregnancy, which I attribute a lot to being in better shape than with my first two. I especially appreciate that she chooses my routines with intention and keeps a close eye on my form to prevent energy and maximize results. And besides all of that, she is a kind and enjoyable person to be around multiple times a week. 10/10 And as to ASF in general, I really appreciate that the gym is clean, well supplied, the pricing and cancellation policies are fair, and all the trainers I have talked to genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs, which speaks volumes.
I decided to try Austin Simply Fit and hire a personal trainer for the first time ever in my life and I'm so glad I did! I've been working with Alyssa Hansen for a few months now, and it has been such a positive experience! It's clear that Alyssa really knows her stuff, and she's great about explaining the exercises and also making sure I'm doing them correctly/ helping me adjust as needed. She also makes the session very fun and approachable and the gym itself is a really positive environment/ not intimidating. I love that the sessions are 30 minutes, which makes them affordable/ easier to fit in your schedule, yet they still pack a lot in during that time. They also rotate the workouts regularly so you don't get bored. I would recommend Austin Simply Fit and specifically Alyssa to anyone without hesitation!
