I always try to look for the good, so I will start with my bob blowout. It was well done and I appreciated the time my stylist spent on my hair but.....she was 45 minutes late for the appointment on a Weds mid morning, I think it was set for 11a. I sat waiting, very stressed for a service that should have felt pleasant, a time for pampering. I had an event to attend, so I planned time to get ready accordingly. Blowology spent a lot of time sending me pre-information on their cancellation fees, not to be late or I would be charged, so I was very disappointed with the late service that I received. The studio only had one other client at that time, so no one could fill in for my tardy stylist. I wouldn't recommend going to Blowology if you have some place to go.
I have always received the most professional care and excellent blow outs at Blowology. I have only use Ada and Aileen. They are both extraordinary. The salon is so well located in Union Square on the 10th floor of a building right next to Chanel. So you can always remember and find itLove this one ! They also have a free touch up the next day on your blow out. What could be better ! I buy six blow dry package at a time. That’s how much I love them ! I have very difficult long untamed hair but these two gals always tame it beautifully. This is your place for 2026
I booked a natural makeup application for a special night out last night and specifically asked for a brown smokey eye. I showed a reference photo as well. Unfortunately, what I received looked nothing like what I requested. There was minimal eyeshadow, zero blending, no eyeliner, no blush, no highlighting. Overall, the makeup looked unfinished and extremely amateur. That being said, when I reached out to management, they were VERY quick to respond, were very apologetic, and quickly refunded me for the poor quality of service. They were also great in communication and shared that they have moved forward with more training for their staff. If I were to go again, I would go in with very specific photos and questions on if they would be able to complete the make up and hairstyles.
I went to Blowology for a blowout before a friend’s birthday dinner, and it was fantastic. The location was easy to find and the salon is clean, modern, and has such a relaxing atmosphere. My stylist was friendly and really took the time to make my hair look perfect. It was smooth, shiny, and held up beautifully all night. I’ll definitely be coming back again.
Unfortunately we were late to our marriage license appointment because your stylist was late for my appointment and took too long doing my hair it should Not take take an hour and forty five minutes for a blow out. The other stylist had three other clients in the time it took to do mine. It also was not was I asked for and fell flat right away and my hair was straight for my photos ten minutes later. I got a blow out the week before with my stylist at home and my curls stayed for two days. I’m really disappointed especially with how much we paid and it set my whole day off being late. Also my other two family members looked more glamorous than me on my wedding day. Everyone asked me why their hair was done but mine wasn’t. I also booked with you because of the mimosa and Champaign and you were out even tho I booked months ahead saying we were excited about it. I also checked the cancellation policy is 24 hours not 48 and we called 24 hours in advance and left a voicemail to cancel the barber appointment and then texted again to confirm. I feel like we were mislead to still have to pay for the deep condition service that none of us wanted to cover for the barber appointment Also the product was left in my hair for literally 3 minutes I don’t understand how that’s a deep conditioning treatment. Is there anything you can do to make this right? This is a photo of my hair when I got to city hall-a ten minute drive from blowology it literally looks like my air dried hair.
