**UPDATED: The salon reached out to me and gave me a full refund and apologized for my experience. Really great of them to do so. if you want an updo at Cinta, my friend's look by Irina was A+.** First of all, this is *just* about one experience. I'm sure the salon is lovely (and my friend got great service), but my time at Cinta was very disappointing. I made an appointment for an updo for a super fancy wedding with a definite end time that I noted in the appointment. My stylist was 30 minutes late to my appointment (including sending me to get a shampoo as a stalling technique even after they texted me 4 times reminding me to to come with clean, dry hair), with just a tossed off apology for making me wait as an afterthought. He talked me out of an updo and said I would have "runway ready flowing hair" as that would look better with my dress, but if I wanted an updo at the end, he could do it. Well, after 45 minutes of teasing and blowing out my hair, there was no time for the updo even if I wanted it, as I was already late to get ready for the wedding. My hotel was 10 minutes away from the salon and literally by the time I made it back to my hotel (in a frantic rush), my hair was flat. So I ultimately spent an insanely large amount of money for an overpriced blowout. I would have been better suited going to a dry bar and spending 1/4th of the cost. Super bummed - was really looking forward to a fun updo. I will say that everyone except my stylist was great and super attentive. Clearly he double booked at my time and tried to cover it. Really unprofessional experience.

Samantha is truly an artist. I have long dark virgin hair, and really wanted the balayage but was nervous. I wanted natural but noticeable, blondish but not brassy, and well blended. Sam took the time to talk to me, look over all of my inspiration pictures, and talked to me honestly about all possible scenarios since hair color is never a guarantee. She explained the color process that no one else ever has to me! How all dark hair goes through the brassy tones, and needs to go lighter and then get toned back up to get the ashy brown colors. I trusted her and I have never been so happy with a hair appointment. She hand paints her balayage with a gentle lightener so my hair doesn't feel brittle or dry, and it's beautifully blended. Couldn't be happier. The salon is beautiful but Samantha makes it amazing!
