We were in the area and I wanted to grab a coffee, so my kiddo found two different places and I chose Blue Corn because it sounded lovely. From the moment we walked in, it felt so warm and welcoming! There were people sitting everywhere and their display is WOW!! They have croissant sandwiches, homemade muffins with very unique flavors, cheesecakes, mini cheesecakes, coffee drinks, quiche, and homemade sourdough bread. I think there was even cinnamon buns. I tried to take it all in, but I was so excited I couldn’t focus….lol. Service was a 10 out of 10 and the ladies behind the counter maneuvered without skipping a beat whether it was making coffee or taking an order. What I thought was so very personable was Nick, the owner. He came out to greet and welcome us. We told him it was our first time, so he was kind enough to let us try the quiche and a mini cheesecake tart. It was the best quiche I’ve ever had and my kiddo ate it up even though she does not like quiche one bit! He also checked in on us while we enjoyed our coffee and yummy bakery items. I had a hazelnut latte and my kiddo had a cappuccino. We also purchased a strawberry muffin and a pear and cardamom muffin to take home. The pear and cardamom muffin is the best muffin I’ve ever had, and my kiddo said the same thing! The place was buzzing consistently while we sat and watched regulars flow in and out. I even had the pleasure of speaking to a regular who was there reading. She was just so sweet. I told her I don’t blame her for coming back regularly as I would too if I lived closer! Blue Corn is about a 35 minute drive from where I live, but I will absolutely drive out to enjoy these amazing bakery items and coffee again. Definitely a 10 out of 10 all around!!! We are looking forward to our next visit and will definitely bring friends next time!
My new absolutely favorite bakery. Must try the zucchini muffin ❤️. Today we tried several different menu items and not one of them disappointed…fresh fruit tarts and cheesecake 👀🙌🏼. I wish I had taken more photos before we started eating. Owner was so kind and let my daughter help decorate our fruit tarts and cheesecake.
This is the place to go if you don't know what you want because everything is AMAZING. We tried a zuccini muffin, artichoke and parmesean quiche, a matcha cupcake, pistachio muffin and a bacon, chedder quiche. Everything was so incredible. Nick the owner came up and said hello and the barista checked up on my drink. Both were just sweethearts. Always happy to support a local small business but its that much better when the quality is top tier. So fun that there is no permanent menu so it feels fresh and tailored each day. Can't wait for their new location to open in downtown Mesa in the next month or so. We will be back!
This wasn’t our intended destination today, but after running into a lack of service at a nearby venue, we stumbled upon this diamond in the rough—and I’m so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, the service was phenomenal, and the food somehow managed to be even better. The tomato bisque soup and caprese panini were absolutely delicious. We also couldn’t resist trying the, quiche, croissant breakfast sandwich, chocolate chip cookie, lemon blueberry muffin, pumpkin tart, and pistachio tart—every single item was outstanding. The sourdough bread, however, truly stole the show. It is hands down the best I’ve ever had. I was so impressed that I bought four loaves to ship home! My daughter & granddaughter enjoyed their coffee drinks, the honey lavender latte and strawberry vanilla latte, both had great flavor! I highly recommend this place, it was totally worth the drive from Sedona!
Oh my. Now that I’ve found you I’m going to gain 20 pounds. And enjoy every single bite. I’ve reviewed at least 100-200 places. Hands down, this spot has the best pastries and sweets I’ve had to date. Absolutely stunning in beauty and absolutely mind blowing in flavor.it started with a pistachio muffin and that was game over. The best muffin I have had in my 46 years of life. Period. The coffee and Italian sodas and plant based energy drinks are all absolutely brilliant. If you do not go here and try everything they have to offer you are failing yourself. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are up next. I applaud you. Absolute perfection in a cafe. I mean that sincerely. And I can’t forget the staff. They were all kind and caring and asked if you were happy, satisfied and if everything met your expectations. Whomever the owner or manager is/are, take this global and change the world. I cannot say enough good nor can I truly express how amazing your spot is.
