I’ve been a tenant at one of their properties for over 5 years, and my experience has been excellent. They consistently keep us informed about property updates, maintenance, and general care. Whenever an issue arises, their online portal is easy to use and the best part is their quick and reliable response time.

We’ve had a great experience with Cal West property Management. They are always easy to communicate with and very responsive. Their online portal makes everything simple—whether it’s paying rent, submitting service requests, or tracking updates, it’s all in one place. Whenever we’ve needed repairs, they’ve been handled in a timely and professional manner. Another thing I really appreciated was their pre-move-out inspection. They gave us clear guidance on what to fix so we could get our initial deposit back without surprises. Overall, they’ve made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend!
I was a tenant for more than 3 years at an apartment they managed. This is the worst property management company I have ever met as a tenant. 1. My car got hit in the apartment parking lot 2 times. When I came to them and asked for help, got nothing. 2. There were so many issues with the apartment, leaking here and there, toilet, appliance. Whenever I asked for check and repair, their response was very very slow, or not even responded. For the leaking, they never fixed until I reported to the city, but eventually they just re-painted the leaking area. 3. They would find a way to overcharge the tenant. I had never received a gate remote (showing not on the contract list), but they charged me when I moved out. In addition, they charged new carpet installation, painting, and more with no reasons when moving out. In short, this is a very bad property management company, treating tenants like nobody. If you are looking for an apartment, wish you to avoid them so do not have the same trouble and unreasonable cost like me.
I have experience working with >10 property managers over the properties in our rental portfolio, and Cal West are absolutely top of the line. They listen carefully to our needs, always responsive, always to the point, always on top of things, proactive in handling issues, and a pleasure to work with. I feel fortunate have found them.
