Man I had one of the best experiences when I took my car to cavender collision. Not only are they nice and very respectful and prompt but my service guy david manriquez was amazing. I cant remember they wonderful lady at the front desk name but she was amazing also when I tell you first class service is what i got and I would recommend them for all.
First and formost, they should have totalled it, but since they were already into the substandard estimate, why not just do it incorrectly and pass the loss on to the customer, right? 10 days over estimated time, 33 days total to return my vehicle incomplete. Cavender blames it on the Progressive adjustor, who never contacted me. Cavender made all their under the table agreements without my consent. No splash guard on the front, no fender well guard to tie into the splash guard, and stabilize the fender which Cavender installed, just like all structurally-sound vehicles on the road today (see pictures below). Not even a call with a quote for how much it would be out of pocket to fix it correctly, terrible customer service, one lie after another. Obviously, Cavender and Progressive are in this together. The driver side trim under the hood on the engine was left off, completely absent of attention to detail. The hood scratch film was disregarded and left off, the sales person stated I could return and put in another claim; you mean 33 days at your collision center was not enough? The accident caused engine damage as well; I informed David by email and phone call that I would take it to my mechanic. Well, they just did it themselves, and sent it to the absent adjustor, and wouldn't you know, they are doing nothing to resolve the issues, although 10 miles per gallon less, and 3 new dash lights since after the accident, but Cavender siad they were pre-existing, but I know they were not there prior to the wreck. I mean that would mess up their 2nd rate estimate, if the vehicle were fixed correctly. I thought the last body shop we took my wife's car to was bad, but at least they got the job actually "completed" after 2 additional claim resubmissions, which the insurance paid. In the end, I got Cavender mixed up with a reputable body shop. I will not return, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I am surprised these people sleep at night. But if you are looking for a body shop that does not have the capacity to leverage against the insurance company, put the customer first or at a minimum keep them informed and actually do the job right: if you wish to be undermined by used car sales antics, smoking mirrors, and willing to listen to illogical explanations, then Cavender is the place for you...
