I have to admit that I anticipated frustration, delays, and disappointment in dealing with repairs of my vehicle. But none of this occurred thanks to Classic Collision on 5th Avenue. They were on top of everything and assured rapid completion and full commitment of the insurance company. Thank you so much!
I have no complaints starting from the time Chloe gave me my estimate to the time i got the car back. Beautiful job by the auto body man. Receptionist was very nice and a pleasure to communicate with. Overall, a very professional business.
I have to say, my experience with this collision center was extremely disappointing. Communication was absolutely terrible — I constantly had to step in and act as the middleman between them and the dealership because they just couldn’t seem to coordinate or communicate properly. As for the repair work itself, I’d give it a 2 out of 5. The paint looks decent at first glance, but the area over the weld line looks awful, and the paint has already started peeling just two days after getting the vehicle back. There are even visible gaps with no paint at all, which will definitely lead to rust once water gets in. Inside the car, I found three random plugs left for reasons I can’t understand, and there’s now a loud rattling noise coming from the dash — as if something was dropped inside and they hoped I wouldn’t notice. Overall, I can’t recommend bringing your vehicle here. The lack of communication, sloppy workmanship, and poor attention to detail made this a really frustrating experience.
After being rear ended they replaced our rear bumper and some other supporting parts. Now there is a significantly larger gap between the bumper & rear quarter panel. According to their pictures they took the gap looks significant larger. Additionally the part they replaced is not secured. We're constantly having to push is back into place so that it claps back onto the bracket that holds it in place. Bringing these these issues to their attention when we picked up our vehicle we where told that that's how it's supposed to look & that the work was performed to industry standards. Still working with our insurance to get this matter resolved. Additionally, we tried to schedule a mechanical diagnostic to investigate some other damage we believe is a direct result of being hit. We schedule an appointment to drop off our vehicle. The soonest they could get us in was 2.5 weeks later. We where told multiple times that the diagnostic should only take a few hours & we could drop off our vehicle in the morning & pick it up later that same day. On the day of our appointment we where told the same thing. After a few hours I check in with them & nothing had been done with our vehicle. They haven't even made an appointment with their mechanical service vender. When they did finally call to schedule that appointment, the soonest we could get is was a week and a half later. Total waste of our time & an inconvenience that was unnecessary. The office manager was rude & condescending while trying her best to convince us that the mechanical issue was not related to being rear ended, without any knowledge of the situation. I could go on, but ill just wrap this up by saying do yourself a favor & avoid classic collision. Poor communication, poor scheduling, poor workmanship & complimentary gaslighting.
My experience with the 5th ave Class Collision shop was beyond satisfactory. Their customer service is great, they kept me updated along the way. I brought my Subaru in for whole side swipe repair. The repairs were perfect, the body work and paint was top notch. My Subaru was shiny and brand new again like the accident never happened!
