Made it to this wonderful place two days of a conference. Out of nowhere, very likely the best croissants I’ve ever had and that includes a trip to Paris. The presentation of the food both takeout and dine in was genuinely fun and full of care. Easy easy recommendation to find your way here in the Sawmill Market.
I cannot actually tell you what we ordered, but they were fantastic. We went on a Saturday and the employees were super helpful. The dessert that looks like a red gift was mostly chocolate mousse with a cake base, moist and delicious. The other is (I believe) a cronut, we got the vanilla filling (others were chocolate or pistachio). We shared both desserts between three people and couldn't believe how good they were. Fair warning, this type of quality isn't cheap, I paid $31 for both, but it is a worthwhile treat. This is a great place to take someone for a wonderful dessert after dinner for a good impression
Only come here if you just want a sparkly dessert covered in flowers for a photo and you are willing to pay $17 for it. I was concerned when I didn't see any prices, but even that did not prepare me for a small tart to be $17 and a croissant to cost $17. There were no labels so it took a very long time in line to wait to have it all explained. Most of the items are just vanilla custard with fresh fruit and flowers on top. If I'm paying $17 for a small tart there needs to be flavors involved and multiple different layers to the dessert. We got a tart described as red velvet and the salesmen was very excited about. It just tasted like almond extract. It was inedible unless you just really love an over powering flavor of almond extract. We also got a bourbon maple croissant. It was very over stuffed with a basic cream filling with barely any flavor. Also any kitchen I've ever worked in was a no scent zone. The salesman although in a chef uniform was drenched in cologne, just adding to the overall vibe of this place selling extremely over priced photo op desserts rather than anything related to culinary or pastry. Oh there was also a happy little ant walking around on our red velvet tart.
Buonissimo!! 🫐🌺🍇 Riccardo understands hospitality —and the way he describes each dessert makes you want to try every single one! He’s an absolute gem, and it felt special to dine at this establishment. Next time we’re in town we’re definitely going to check out their coffee lounge Kashmir!
Crème de la Crème is by far the most exceptional pastry shop you can find in Albuquerque. The time and techniques used are beyond imagination and always produce just beautiful crafted creations. Each one showing love and gratitude in every aspect, from the presentation to how delicious they taste. I’ve been coming here for almost two years now and have never been disappointed. I heard they took special requests for full cakes after trying their small versions, which I was in love with. I had placed a special order for a celebration we were having and left the entire cremation up to the lovely owners, Armani and Bella (if you haven’t met them yet, you should. They’re wonderful people all the way around). I only ask for it to have some type of citrus involved. The day it was scheduled to be picked up, I was blown away. It was a beautiful crafted lemon cake, the was even shaped like a lemon! It was beyond stunning and tasted phenomenal. They even followed up to ensure it was what I had thought of. You can never go wrong with any of their pastries. I can never rave enough about how wonderful they are and I recommend them to EVERY one I meet. Not only are the owners genuinely grateful for you even stopping by but they care about what they provide to their customers. From high quality ingredients to presentation and even the boxes they’re sent home in! If you haven’t gone, take this as a sign that you need to go. You won’t be disappointed I promise.
