Dr Welch and his staff are always so nice. I am a very nervous patient and he has the best manner to make me feel comfortable.
One of the most pleasant, informative, and empowering dental experiences I have ever experienced. All the staff were extremely friendly, polite, and attentive making sure I was comfortable and informed. I was there for an initial new patient assessment. Dentist, Dr. Layla Lohmann, was a breath of fresh air as she conveyed a level of competency and empathy I have rarely seen in prior dental health providers. She effectively communicated and advocated realistic, wholistic treatment plans. She takes into account and listens to patient concerns regarding costs, required behavior/daily routines, aesthetic/cosmetic impact, and fears and anxiety of painful procedures, etc. The technology, tools, and resources used to convey and communicate dental issues and their treatment plans were so very helpful, effective, and reassuring in helping me to make confident and informative decisions regarding my dental wellness. The technology, scanning and then being a able to view a realized photo realistic 3D image of your teeth and mouth, is just so cool allowing you to visualize and understand your dental health, issues, and recommended treatment options so much more. I have utmost confidence in this practice and couldn’t recommend it more.
Excellent care and using state of the art techniques and technology. Dr. Welch is a great dentist who takes the time to explain your condition and procedures. Maria, one of the hygienists, is very thorough and and wonderful in showing what one needs to do in maintaining good oral hygiene.
Terrible service, an arrogant attitude, and outdated facilities are the current state of this clinic. You will be greeted by a lady with glasses who treats white people with a very friendly attitude, but when it was my turn, there was no smile, just a stern face. Could it be because I am Asian? Of course, this was followed by an arrogant attitude from both the front desk and the service staff. The most unbearable part is the outdated facilities. They will have you do a dental CT scan where you have to bite down on a hard object with sharp edges (which scratched the inside of my mouth, and now I have a canker sore). I promise you, you would almost only see such equipment in a dental clinic from the year 2000. During the teeth cleaning, they preferred to use a curette, but this is a piece of equipment that is nearly 10 years old. I seriously suspect they paid Google too much money to maintain a 5.0 rating, leaving them with no money to update their equipment.
The Dallas Dental Group is AMAZING!!! I would give it 10 stars hands down!!! They are knowledgeable, passionate, compassionate, professional and fun. My dentist of over 20 years retired and I was not happy to have to see a new group. I am soooo happy I found the perfect fit for my needs!!!!!
