Jarrod did an exceptional job restoring my 1970s Seiko. I also purchased a custom-made 18ct gold chain from him. The watch and jewellery business is inherently built on trust, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jarrod to anyone.
Well its been a year since I had 3 watches serviced at David East. Jerrd I am just slack but let me say 5 + stars your just a honest,knowlegable and open bloke a little hard to come by today.I really enjoyed our chat. Dropped of the watches in the morning back at 3 all done. There all in time and ticking >>> well thats the point of a watch Thanks again OH* I forgot one was a Tag Huer WL1211 1/3 less then company service fee less time and he fixed the locking clasp. TL;DR Fantastic for watch repairs and servicing. Knowledgeable, fast, great service and at very reasonable prices! Can't ask for much more. - With 6 watches (from lower end up to longines/custom) that needed battery replacements, cleaning, minor repairs, links removed - I've been looking for somewhere I can rely on to get the job done efficiently and effectively. I finally found that place, and all those expectations were met and exceed with Jarrod at David East. He was extremely knowledgeable, put me at ease and went above and beyond to get all of my watches slick and operational again. This included a watch two other shops were unwilling to touch. The job was done within hours and at transparent and reasonable prices. They have definitely won over a new customer!
My Seiko watch fell on the ground during recent travels and the logo was dislodged from the watch face. Jarrod at David East Jewellers was so helpful in getting this repaired and also fixing a bent clasp and replacing the capacitor and battery. In this throwaway society we live in, I was pleased to give my trusty Seiko a new lease on life, and at a very reasonable cost. I can highly recommend David East Jewellers!
I had the pleasure of meeting Jarrod today. He changed the watch band and polished up my old school Longines for a special occasion and replaced the battery in a treasured old Seiko while I waited. These days it's increasingly rare to meet quality people like Jarrod with no fuss professionalism and integrity. He is a specialist third generation jeweller. I will be back to service the Longines in the new year. Highly recommended
