Both of my kids have taken lessons with Ken and Jaclyn for many years. We can’t recommend them enough. They are extremely professional and incredible musicians and role models. They do a great job of making learning music fun and keeping kids engaged and excited. Having attended many recitals at their studio, I can say that kids from kindergarten to high school seniors all seem to be having a great time and are doing awesome work. What I love most about working with Ken and Jaclyn is how much they care about their students. Taking lessons with Ken and Jaclyn has been a completely positive experience from start to finish. I feel so good about supporting their small studio and local business.
Our daughter took vocal lessons from Jaclyn from sixth grade through her senior year. The growth that I saw in her abilities when she started taking private lessons was very impressive! She had a natural talent always but the refining that she got through these lessons made a huge difference. Ken is also a great asset even to the vocal students. Our daughter enjoyed working with both of them very much and so did I.
A music studio to love, with teachers who will explore your child’s inner joy in music! My daughter has been going there for just over one year and has grown so much in confidence, skill, range and interest in exploring more, other instruments and music genres. Jaclyn and Ken are teachers who support overall growth, not just short term successes. They are loyal to the musicians’ discovery in music and themselves, which makes me give a pretty darn big high recommendation for this studio! Register, try a class! Record an audition, pick up piano playing again!
Davis Surso music does an amazing job with the kids they coach. Of course, the kids’ musical abilities are maximized through Jaclyn and Ken’s expert coaching. However, they care much more about turning out confident, positive and caring young women and men. Watching my daughter flourish under Jaclyn and Ken’s supervision throughout the years has been incredible and I would encourage anyone with a child looking to maximize their potential as a musician/performer to invest in Davis Surso music.
