I want to start by saying I hate going to the dentist and I have since I was a very young child. This was my first time trying Dental Serenity and the front desk was lovely. My dental hygienist took the time to put me at ease and told Dr. Ross who came in after she’d taken some x-rays to look at the x-rays and assuage my concerns. She said my teeth looked good, my smile was pretty and could she answer any questions for me. I thought that was nice. However, I didn’t realize it until I got home that my hygienist didn’t floss my teeth. I’ve never had a teeth cleaning that didn’t include flossing. Dr. Ross didn’t return after my hygienist had finished either. When I first start at a practice, the dentist always comes in to check and have a chat (if necessary). It’s usually only a couple of minutes because the hygienists I’ve had were very skilled and professional, but the dentists would come by just the same. Once I just have regularly scheduled cleanings, some have only come as needed but some dentists continued to came do a check. Maybe since she’d already looked at my x-rays and spoken with me, she didn’t find it necessary. So I plan to try them again. But I need a full teeth cleaning next time.
Prior to becoming Dental Serenity, I went to this practice for many years and never had an issue. But I've gone twice in the past year for a cleaning and exam and on both occasions there was no dentist with no warning ahead of time. The hygienists are friendly and competent but seem to come and go with little consistency. It appears that after the practice was bought management fired all the prior employees. The new staff is not as attentive.
Dr. Ross and her team were professional and efficient at every stage of my visit. The office team demonstrated reliability during scheduling and subsequent follow-up care, consistently delivering a high-quality encounter beyond expectations. Dr. Ross is very personable, putting me at ease prior to my procedure, and keeping me informed at each step. I offer my strongest recommendation for Dr. Ross, her dental team and her office staff.
From go, my hygienist, Wakiene, couples with Dr. Ross made this a fabulous experience. They were thoughtful, engaged, respectful, and kind and truly wanted to get to know me as their patient. The entire team up front was equally fabulous!!!
This practice has gone downhill. It used to provide attentive, thorough care, but not anymore. My last visit was rushed and dismissive: after the cleaning, the doctor spent less than four minutes looking at my teeth and gums, muttered a vague “looks good,” and walked out without offering any explanation or advice. No discussion of my dental health, no recommendations, no sense of care. It felt careless and unprofessional. Sadly, this is no longer a practice I can trust or recommend.
