This is not a tire service center. This is a new tire sales center. If you aren’t buying new tires they won’t help you. I had a damaged tire. Luckily I bought one extra when I bought the original four a year previous so I thought I would just have them swapped out. No can do. Didn’t buy the tire from them so they wouldn’t do it. Then they wanted me to buy two new tires instead so they matched. And they were $200 more than the dealer wanted. Don’t waste your time. Go anywhere else.
Came to discount to get new tires. I've always had great experience here. I also needed new sensors in all 4 tires. Paid for both tires and sensors. They "got the job done" in 45 mins. Wow, awesome, thanks guys. Then a week later an error came up, service tire monitor system. So I brought it back to them. A gentleman checked the sensors. Two were good two bad. Hmmmm...ok well can you get them replaced please I paid $125 for all new ones. Yep but you have to make an appointment. Ok I did. Two days later I come back. System says under my account just 1 needs to be replaced. No, its the two back ones not the passenger one. So the gentleman goes and tested my tires. They are now all bad apparently. They never put new ones in and now its going to be a longer wait. To say I'm disappointed in over all diagnoses in a understatement. Not sure I'll be going back to the Bloomington location. So all I can say is make sure they do what they say.
I've had mixed experiences at the Bloomington Discount Tire over the past ten years. For example, they couldn't find the tires I ordered, and my tires were not correctly inflated multiple times in a row. But the attention to detail and service have both improved over the past few years. They performed the winter tire change pretty quickly this December, even though it was super busy.
A fine place to get new tires. The free tire pressure check line always runs very slowly. I get a sense that the professional atmosphere is a very boy's club attitude on the inside, on the outside it is cordial enough. Come prepared for what service you're intending to have done because I've seen upselling like crazy done here versus other locations.
We started using this store after some bad experiences elsewhere. I spoke to Josh, the general manager at this store prior to ordering my tires. He assured me the experience at this store would be better, and it was. His team is on top of the process. They turn cars quickly, and address everything you need. They installed winter tires on my Tesla Model S in October. Today they are installing all season tires on my daughter’s new to her Lexus IS250. I asked the techs to clean the wheel beads of corrosion, and they did a good job cleaning them up. Devan was the main tech working on our Lexus today. He was great to work with. Take your car here for tires. You will not be disappointed.
