Omg, this place is Millennial heaven. The arcade games are all SO legit (OG Frogger?! Mortal Combat?!), the food and cocktails/shots are great, solid beer list, and nick the bartender was awesome too. We are finding a babysitter for next weekend so we can go again!
Came in on a Tuesday night (12/30) and by 10PM it died down but I think people just don’t know about the place! Hasset was our girl!! Kept the vibes going and drinks flowing—good time for sure! There is a fun shot wheel up front with different cocktails like the ‘Scooby Doo’ or ‘Kirby’ Most games are about 4 coins, they have a token converter in house for $1,5,10 & 20 bills. We ordered a couple hot dogs and they were ok— def recommend the cheesesteak egg rolls!
I love the old school arcade, bar, & food spot concept!! So when I saw this spot a while back, it was a matter of time until I pulled up!! Let’s go see what they’re hittin on!! . Where I am: @gameondc . Location Reviewed: 1330 U st., N.W. Washington D.C. . Items Reviewed: STAMP!! Their Sloppy Dog Glizzy ($12 an all beef hot dog with a cheese blend, onions, beef Sloppy Joe, & Old Bay fries). The Sloppy Joe on this glizzy was nostalgic!! Tasty, fulfilling, with crispy fries!! STAMP!! Their Mac n Cheese Bites ($13 fried Mac n cheese with hot honey). These caught me off guard!! Cheesy, sweet & spicy with the honey…actually tasty!! STAMP!! Their Chopped Cheese Crunch Wrap ($17 with ground beef, lettuce, onions, adobo, American cheese, & Game On sauce). Perfect late night food!! A grilled, folded, taco basically…deliciousness!! STAMP!! Their Mocktails ($9 their Baby Butter Beer Mocktail, & $7 for their strawberry lemonade mocktail). That Butter Beer was pretty much a cream soda, STAMP, & the lemonade was tasty!! LIKE THAT! Their Wings ($15 eight half lemon pepper, & Thai chili flavor). Tasty, crispy, & well seasoned!! STAMP!! Their Truffle Fries ($7 fries with Parmesan & truffle sauce). Fragrant, crispy, & cheesy!! . Customer Service: On Point. . Parking: Rough!! . Recommendations: Definitely get that Wrap!! . If you like anime, video games or anything adjacent....youll like this place. They have a pretty decent selection of arcade games and several pinball machines. I did not expect the food to be as tasty as it was! The chicken tenders with your choice of flavor was solid. They have a wide selection of fun game and pop culture themed cocktails and shots.
Came on opening weekend. Played $20 worth of games. No problems with any of the games and had a great time. The cocktails we tried were Reboot (sports drink taste) and Smores old fashion (my favorite, kind of sweet). And I heard butter beer is good too. We will come back to try the food! Come defeat EK on tetris :D
