Gracie Barra Greensboro - Jiu-Jitsu brésilien et auto-défense est une académie et une communauté de Jiu-Jitsu accueillantes à Greensboro, en Caroline du Nord. Gracie Barra Greensboro is a fantastic Jiu Jitsu school and community. The professors and coaches are excellent instructors. The environment is setup to learn Jiu Jitsu at any age or level. In addition there is a very talented competition team who are active throughout the year. Great place!
My son Caleb is 15 and completely blind and I was looking for activities for him to get involved in. I reached out to Gracie Barra to see if that was something they could do. Their response back was quick and told us of course and to come try it out. In the past, we have been made to feel like a burden when trying to accommodate a visually impaired child into something new so I was nervous. When we walked in for his first class we met Jess and Lucas. When I tell you I was blown away! They were so incredibly kind but most importantly they were prepared! With a plan to make sure Caleb felt included. After the first class ended, caleb was so happy and wanted to join right away! I haven’t seen him so excited. It’s been a wonderful experience so far. They are doing their best to accommodate Caleb with setting things where Caleb will find them, planning for a hook for his cane. As a mother of a visually impaired child, it’s one of the best feelings. Thanks so much Jess and Lucas and all the of members and crew who have helped and look forward to making Caleb apart of the community! The establishment is clean and cared for. Everyone is super nice and willing to help. High recommended them to anyone.
Gracie Barra Greensboro is amazing! My son has been doing Jiu-Jitsu for about a year and he absolutely loves it. He had no prior experience and yet it was a seamless transition as he began learning. This was due in large part to the fact that the coaches pay attention to each person’s needs and skill level. They genuinely care about your child’s (or your) progress and it shows. We had done Taekwondo with our oldest, but our middle son, we felt, needed something more. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has been great for him…He has learned discipline, self respect, self defense, confidence, but most of all, he genuinely loves it! It is challenging and fun! I am so grateful for the sense of community and camaraderie that GB Greensboro affords as well. The owners (and all the staff really) are so welcoming and friendly, you immediately feel the love ❤️ Also, we’ve been able to freeze our account periodically, which is convenient when our son has swim lessons one month, or ice skating lessons another month for example, and we don’t want to be over committed with activities. All-in-all, I highly recommend Gracie Barra Greensboro to anyone wanting (or considering) to join a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym!
My son has been attending class twice a week, sometimes more often, for a year. It’s helped with so many things, and now his friend has joined! We love Gracie Barra!!
Professor Lucas quickly became a dream teacher and mentor for our kids while they did Jui Jitsu - giving them an opportunity to compete (and help train them for it and went on to win medals!) He is caring and loving and professional and seriously passionate about Jui Jitsu. His values of dedication, focus and long term commitment align with ours and there has never been any other place or teacher that even compares to what he gives to any community he comes upon. Gracie Barra and Professor Lucas are always in our minds when we try and get back to that level.
