I went to Hawksmoor with my boyfriend, as a delayed Christmas present. We had an excellent meal, the £23 two course set menu was excellent value and absolutely delicious! My boyfriend hasn’t stopped talking about the beef and Yorkshire pudding starter. Thank you so much for an excellent meal, the service was amazing. The staff were lovely and very efficient, our waiter was Simun and he was lovely and incredibly helpful.
Had a wonderful experience celebrating my birthday with my dear friend. The restaurant atmosphere was amazing and the food was spectacular. The staff were extremely attentive and catered to our requests and dietary needs. Simun our server and Parris were so polite and gave great recommendations for us. Already recommended to my friends and would absolutely come back again! Thank you
Despite some of the negative reviews on here, we thought we’d give Hawksmoor a go anyway. And I’m so glad we did. We ended up going for the set menu. Not only is it great value, but the quality of our food was top notch. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The bone marrow gravy we had read and heard so much about did not disappoint and the creamed spinach was very good too. Omg the beef dripping fries were to die for! Both the pavlova and sticky toffee pudding were amazing! Service was superb. All staff we encountered were so lovely and professional. Our experience was faultless. We’d love to go back and sample the main menu next time. To those who are sitting on the fence, disregard the negative reviews and go try for yourself! You won’t be disappointed!
I visited this place on my own during the Christmas season and was lucky to get a table spontaneously. The interior is absolutely lovely – very rustic and cozy, yet well maintained. The food was a dream: I had the beef fillet and lobster, both prepared to perfection. Simply outstanding. The service was also excellent – attentive and very friendly. An all-around fantastic experience. I would definitely come back again!
after many recommendations, we decided to check this place out. however, it turned into dissapointment. started off with the bone marrow and onions, which lacked flavour and only came with 2 pieces of bread. onto the mains, i got myself the fillet steak with mash and garlic mushrooms. the steak itself was good quality, however the sides were not. the mushrooms seemed like they were bought from tesco and just had garlic oil drizzled over them. im sure the mash was microwaved out of the fridge, u could see the lack of detail and quality considering the price. the peppercorn sauce was watery, and lacked that intense pepper flavour. i was expecting the food to be on par with goodman steakhouse, but i can say goodman is far superior. the only saving grace was the quality of the steak, but even then goodman offers superior quality at a similar price. personally i wouldnt recommend hawksmoor, for the best steak head to goodman or gaucho
