I went to Heart & Paw for a same-day vaccination appointment because my dog’s shots had expired and there were two specifically that the day care needed in order to let him board. I had a flight later that day so I needed to get him vaccinated as quickly as possible and his usual vet was on vacation. Arriving was fine - the team seemed friendly and accommodating. However, upon entering the exam room I became increasingly concerned by what I felt was profiling. I was asked about my dog’s origins multiple times in a way that made me feel like I wasn’t trusted despite having all of his records from birth at the breeder, purchase, and entire vaccination. At a random part of the appointment I was told they needed to check his chip and took him out of the room. I’m getting goosebumps as I type this because the length of the wait made me realize they THOUGHT I STOLE MY OWN DOG. The dog that, again, I had all of the documentation for. The icing on the cake was feeling talked down to by the vet about which vaccinations I should get, his ongoing care, and when I should neuter him (again, he has a regular vet and a full care plan, I just needed a vaccination). My only conclusion is maybe they don’t see a lot of colored women with rare purebreds so I unfortunately became the catch-all for very problematic assumptions. He got the shots we needed, I paid, and I quickly left. I have no interest in returning.

I recently took my senior cat, Payton, to Heart + Paw and I could not be happier with the experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. The receptionists were friendly and efficient, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. Dr. Lynn and Anna were exceptional in their care. They handled Payton with such gentleness and compassion, which put me at ease during a stressful time. They took the time to explain everything clearly, detailing the next steps for my cat’s recovery. I also truly appreciate the follow-up call from Anna the next day to check on Payton’s progress. I highly recommend Dr. Lynn, Anna, and the entire team at this clinic. They truly went above and beyond to help my cat feel better. I will definitely be returning for any future needs. Thank you all for the wonderful service!

My pup is a ball of anxiety and 55lb of loving. The whole team here made his first visit calming and Dr. Hultzapple even got on the floor to his level to help. They were transparent about pricing and offered options to save where possible. On top of that, the whole technology/mobile app/online tools are easy to use and give plenty visibility to pet parents. Loved our experience!!

I love it at heart and paw! I bring my dog Ellie for the vet, grooming, and day care. The workers are all so wonderful and Ellie LOVES them all. They also send incredible pics and report cards every time I take her to day care and even threw her a birthday party (at no extra cost mind you) 😭. I always know that my dog is in good hands at heart and paw.

My cats Benny & Flynn both have been getting treated at Heart + Paw -East Market since I adopted them a year ago. The staff at Heart + Paw are all very friendly and kind and communicative throughout their veterinary visits. I feel when they come here they are in good hands and never have to worry. They always answer all of my questions and I get a detailed outline after each visit sent to me. They are easy to get ahold of either by phone, text, or appointment making on their website. Super efficient. Their location is super close to my apartment which makes it easy to transport my cats to their appointments. The office is very nice & clean, and while the vet is not always either of my cat’s favorite place, the office does their best to help make Benny and Flynn feel safe and comfortable while they are there. I love how the moment we enter the office the front desk staff greet us with warm smiles and often I show the staff some cute pictures of the boys at home and reels I post on their instagram page. No matter what the circumstance of our visit is, there has never been a time at Heart + Paw that my experience was less than satisfactory. Their customer service and treatment is always above and beyond.
