I have been going to Homebody for the last three months or so, and could not have found a better community of people! Everyone is so welcoming! I was looking to get back into yoga after not having practices at a studio since 2020, and Homebody has been great - you are welcome to come as you are and there is no pressure to push yourself beyond what you are comfortable with. As a "plus size" person, I have also found it to be a very body positive space (something that is yoga often isn't).
Joining Homebody was the best thing I did for myself in 2025. The teachers are kind, welcoming, but aren’t afraid to be challenging. I like that there are 4 class types so I don’t feel like I’m missing out, and it’s easy to choose my schedule in their app. The instructors include real dharma teachings during class, which is what I was searching for and different from other studios I’ve tried. The yoga room is cozy and I get to class early to rest and meditate. The best class for beginners is Sunday night restore : )
Homebody has the best atmosphere, community, and classes I’ve experienced at any yoga studio. The studio has no mirrors, which encourages students to focus on how they feel in class as opposed to how they look. There’s no crazy lights or loud music— the focus is all yoga. They are so welcoming to all levels and the studio is BEAUTIFUL. So happy to be a part of the community they’ve built. 😁
Emily Winters has created something truly special with Homebody. I’ve been a yogi since 2018, but since joining this studio in December, I’ve found a new level of peace. The atmosphere is incredibly inviting and friendly—it’s not just a studio; it’s a genuine community. The instructors are fantastic at balancing physical work with mental health. I took a class with Allison today that was exactly what I needed—her reminder that 'You are whole' really stuck with me. I experimented going to other yoga studios in Raleigh, but Homebody kept me coming back! The staff and atmosphere are so welcoming and I never feel out of place. I like how adaptable the classes are to suit each skill level, from newcomer to expert. Having a lobby to socialize in before and after classes is also a great feature and emphasizes Homebody’s focus on building community through shared interest. Now going to yoga is more than just a hobby but a practice I want to strengthen each day.
