I don't like giving reviews with low stars, but this one is necessary. At first, we really loved our sofa sectional we bought from the Kapiolani showroom. The price was high but the people were so nice. It was a fun experience shopping in this store. All the fun ended as soon as we made the purchase. Shortly after they delivered my product, there was an electrical malfunction in one of the recliners. After some back and forth with the service department, they brought me a new end section and swapped out the broken one. I have had this sofa 3 years exactly and the same section electrical has failed. The recliner is stuck in the up position on 6/13/25. I contacted service and they made me pay upfront for the part and installation. I paid all in advance on 6/20/25. Since then they never contact me. I have asked several times for an update, and all they offer is excuse and then apologize for not getting back to me. As of today, I am still waiting and not a satisfied customer. There are other furniture stores, please look around before trusting Inspiration on Kapiolani.
We've been customers of INspiration since 2013 and have furnished 3 homes since. The designs are sleek and contemporary. While most of our purchases were problem-free, we did have an issue with a faux leather sofa a few years ago in which we ended up receiving a store credit due to its peeling. SERVICE: Sales folks have been engaging and friendly over the years. OVERALL: Pricier. Spend the extra dollars for leather over the faux stuff.
Bought a dining table for over $2000. After one month it has water damage (the table was supposed to be water resistant but is not) and has rusted. When filing a claim with the one year warranty, the manufacturer says “such defects are caused by excess moisture or humidity”, so nothing can be done other than purchasing the product again…. Very disappointing.
Great service and great selection. A must stop shop to get all your interior needs. I found many beautiful pieces to transform our space.
Inspiration Interiors has the best selection of modern design and high quality furnishings in Honolulu. When moving into a new condo they had the broadest selection and price ranges to personalize my home. I am drawn to Italian design and they have ample choices in the store. The sales people were always there with advice and suggestions. I never felt pushed or rushed to buy anything, and when I was ready the transactions went smoothly. Special orders or changes were handled smoothly and with a smile. Recently I needed parts for an item that was out of warranty. The service department were able to order the parts from the manufacturer in Italy for me. Then I was given a choice of installing it myself or have them come to my place to do it. I really appreciate Inspiration Interiors standing by their products. Everyone from the owners to sales people to delivery staff are polite, knowledgeable and handle everything with aloha!
