I’ve been going to Ivy for almost 4 years now and she’s completely changed my life! I started going because I had chronic back and neck pain and wanted to improve my strength and flexibility. My first class I immediately felt like I was home!! The music is great, the studio is always clean and Ivy is passionate about her students and practice. No two classes are ever the same, she keeps it fresh. Within a few months of regular practice my back and neck pain resolved. I can do a handstand now and I haven’t been able to do one since I was a child. You literally feel like a million bucks after finishing a class. I’m constantly being challenged to try new things, but some days I just want to come and enjoy the heat and that’s perfectly acceptable too. I’m so grateful I found Ivy League Strength and thankful for Ivy for her years of excellent instruction!

From Tin Man to Stretch Armstrong - it started when I was begrudgingly drug to Ivy’s hot yoga 2 years ago. Having a CrossFit and lifting background for 15 years, I conveniently decided to neglect all flexibility/mobility. Well, all my weaknesses were quickly exposed. And Ivy was sure to point this out to me in her ‘tough-love’ style. The constructive criticism resonated and I decided to make mobility a priority. After 2 years of hot yoga and private sessions with Ivy, I feel the best I have in 20 years. I’m a skier and a golfer - the mobility improvements have made me significantly better at both. And more importantly, I can touch my toes and just move better in daily life. This progress has come with a lot of pain and suffering, but it’s been worth it. Ivy has been invested in my improvement, which has made all the difference. In her words, I went from a mangy dog on the side of the road to now an average functioning human. Haha Lastly, there’s no better way to cap off a stressful day than sweating out all your problems at 115 degrees, contemplating if you’ll actually die in the process. 10/10 recommend.
